Make a wish birthday card with WPLUS9

Hello again,

I didn’t post for a whole week and I felt I need to catch up, so it is my 2nd post for today. And a very special one as this card I am showing you was for my sweet brother’s birthday!

20160529_164050 wm

First of all, I had the WPLUS9 dream catcher die which I bought a while ago having my brother in mind. He used to have one above his bed when we were teenagers and it reminded me of those good old times 😀 So, before doing anything for my card, I had to assemble my dream catcher: I die cut the frame 3 times from black cardstock, together with the little hangers which hold the feathers. The net is cut from heavy weight vellum. The feathers are from white cardstock and vellum. I glued everything together using Ranger Multi Matte Medium.

20160529_164027 wm

I definitely wanted a colourful background so I made a rainbow one with distress inks and a blending tool. A little shimmer mist and water droplets made it complete.

20160529_164045 wm

The sentiment I die cut from black cardstock using a MFT sentiment die set. A few clear sequins and my card was ready from outside.

20160529_164019 wm

As I wanted to give him a gift card, I made a small envelope using a die from Avery Elle. For the closure I added one feather left behind from the dream catcher die cutting session. I stamped the Happy birthday sentiment from a SSS set. The envelope is held in place by a strip of my rainbow background (I love to use all leftovers). The seniment above is from a beautiful Altenew set.

20160529_164151 wm

The other inner side of my card I kept for a funny explanation on what the gift card is for. It is in Hungarian and a simple printed word document which I decorated with faux stitching from a SSS rectangle die. This panel is held in place by washi tape, so it is easy to remove.

That is it for today, I wish you got inspired. My bro definitely liked the gift and the way it was “wrapped”. Happy Birthday Andras once more! I love you!

This card I am submitting to the SSS Wednesday Challenge: Anyhing goes.

Sziasztok,

20160529_164050 wm

A feliratot egy My Favourite Things sablonnal vágtam fekete kartonból.

Szeretlek 🙂

Hamarosan újra jövök egy viccességgel 😉

Üdv,

Zsófi

Rainbow card with Paper Smooches

Hello,

It is a quick post for the PS may Challenge: Rainbow. I am always in the last moment recently for Challenges 😀

Sometimes when I am making a background which I really love, I want to use all remaining parts o it after die cutting. This happened to my today’s card to: I had a thin frame of a rainbow inked embossed rosey background and it inspired my whole card.

20160509_155922 wm

First I stamped and white heat embossed my balloons from the PS Birthday Bash stamp set an coloured them with distress inks to create my rainbow. Then I fussy cut them out. I heat embossed the sentiment too on a strip of vellum which I wrapped around my background.

20160509_155910 wm

By the way my background is a piece of gray cardstock which I die cut with a SSS background die. I popped up some of my balloons with foam tape for more dimension and added silver thread for the strings and placed the thread under my vellum. The whole background I mounted on a whit card base. A bit of clear Wink of Stella on the balloons and a few clear sequins from PPP and SSS finished off my card.

Thanks so much for visiting me today.

I will be back today with a special BD card, so check back soon.

Hugs,

Felt flowers

Happy Sunday,

I am popping to share a quick card – actually two – I made for the SSS Monday and Wednesday Challenges, with die cut felt flowers.

20160522_184844 wm

First I die cut my flowers from 3 different shades of felt, and glued them together with a felt glue. I found that my favourite Ranger Multi Matte Medium didn’t work well with the felt. Then I die cut my panels from white and coloured cardstocks with a stitched border die from MFT. I felt that a plaing white background is too simple under my flowers, so I chose 3 Memento inks per card and added some splatters using an MFT stamp.

20160522_184929 wm

20160522_184954 wm

The sentiments are from a SSS set, I embossed them with white embossing powder on grey tone patterned papers (Lawn Fawn and MFT), and glued them on the bottom of my cards. I rounded the bottom corners for a softer look.

A big rhinestone in the middle of the felt flowers and a few clear sequins finished off this simple design.

These will go for the below challenges.

I wish you like them and will try using felt on your cards. It is fun!

Have a nice evening,

Sziasztok,

Wedding card with Lawn Fawn stamps

Hello,

Today I wanted to share a wedding card that I made for a friend of my brother. I wanted something blue and simple, and I wanted to use my beloved Lawn Fawn stamps for it. This is the card I created:

20160520_121929 wm

First I stamped my images on smooth white cardstock and coloured them with alcohol markers. Then I die cut them with the matching dies. I used 2 sets from Lawn Fawn, Sunny skies and Happy wedding. The sentiment is a YNS die, which I die cut several times from white cardstock and once from silver metallic cardstock and layered them on top of each other with liquid glue (I like the Ranger Multi Medium Matte the most).

20160520_121858 wm

When all my elements were done, I layed them on a cardbase to see what kind of backround I need. I decided on a handmade one instead of patterned papers, so I stamped an Impression Obsession background stamp with SSS white pigment ink on a blue cardstock and heat embossed it with some Judikins Iridescent Sparkle embossing powder. The result is a pretty, delicate background with a little shimmer, perfect for my birdie wedding scene.

20160520_121915 wm

For the frame I die cut the largest Lawn Fawn stitched rectangle frame die 3 times from simple white cardstock and layered them together for a dimensional frame.

20160520_121923 wm

After gluing all my scene elements on their places, I added some clear Wink of Stella glitter here and there, a silver metallic gel pen to the cake decoration, black glaze pen for the eyes and some glossy accents on the cake tray, on the hat of the groom and beaks of the birds. A tiny silver pearl in the middle of the flower of the bride finished off my card front.

20160520_121907 wm

In the inside I needed a pocket, so I used the same handmade patterned paper with a white frame (cut with a smaller stitched frame die from the same Lawn Fawn set). A silver metallic “for you” sentiment cut with a Lawn Fawn die made it complete.

20160520_121936 wm

I hope the recipient liked it as much as I did, and I wish you got some inspiration for the upcoming wedding season.

Have a nice Saturday,

Zsofi

Sziasztok,

Ma egy esküvőre készült lapot hoztam nektek, amit a tesóm egyik barátjának készítettem. Mindenképpen a kedvenc Lawn Fawn nyomdáimat szerettem volna használni egy kedvesen egszerű, kék laphoz, hát ez lett belőle:

20160520_121929 wm

Miután összeállítottam a lapot, egy két részletet kiemeltem Wink of Stella átlátszó csillámtollal, glossy accent-tel, ezüst zselés tollal illetve fekete glaze pen-nel.

Multi-layered flower garden

Hello,

I am back with a colourful multi-layered card which I made for the current YNS colour challenge #39. I really got inspired by the colours and imagined a pretty spring garden. I had the cheerful stamp set called Plant some kindness from YNS and I wanted to use the flowers for this card. So I stamped them all twice (the tulip is my favourite, so made 3 of that) and coloured them with alcohol markers.

20160520_151533 (2)

To achieve the soft pastel, layered look I die cut several layers: a light blue cardstock as a background, 2x the Lawn Fawn diagonal stripes background die, a piece of vellum to go in between the diagonals, 2 layers of grass with the tall grassy borders from Lawn Fawn and a white stitched rectangle frame. The sentiment is also from Lawn Fawn, I love these long sentiment dies.

20160520_151523

20160520_151511

When I built up my garden, it was time to plant my flowers. I glued all of them flat with Ranger Multi Medium Matte, because the background already gave the dimension I was looking for. A little shimmer on the petals, some black glaze pen dots on the eyes and a tiny glossy accent finished off my card.

20160520_151454

I wish I inspired you with this springy, cheerful card and you will return soon for more card inspiration.

Best wishes till then,

Zsofi

Happy Birthday Mum!

Hello,

I am back with a very special post, dedicated to my sweet Mum, who had her birthday yesterday. I didn’t want her to see this card before I could give it to her, so I am posting only today.

20160516_075016 (2)

First I cut a 3.5 x 3,5 square from smooth white cardstock and arranged my flower bouquet from MFT (Build-able Bouquet) as I wanted, then stamped using my MISTI and SSS Intense Black Ink. When I had the arrangement ready I coloured them with alcohol markers, added some clear shimmer with Wink of Stella and some dotted details with a white gel pen. For extra dimension I used some gold and clear gems from my stash on the flowers.

20160516_075043 (2)

The sentiment is from an MFT die set too, I used some mild patterned paper from MFt to match my blue flowers, and layered it on another 3 layers of the same birthday die cut from white cardstock to have dimension. When it was all adhered together, I covered the top layer with Versamark ink and heat embossed with WOW Ultra High clear gloss embossing powder – 2 times. It became REALLY shiny and rounded. The “Happy” part of my sentiment is a white heat embossed stamp from Mama Elephant, which I glued in the middle of the bouquet.

20160516_075024

I mounted my focal image on a strip of SSS Island Blue cardstock, which I decorated with some special stitching on the top (MFT die) and with a PPP border die on the bottom. Then I added a piece of MFT blue patterned paper with mini hearts to a white cardbase and mounted my blue panel with foam adhesive.

My mum was really happy with the card, I hope you like it too.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO THE BEST MUM EVER!

With her permission, I am linking this card up for 2 challenges:

Flowers for my girl

Happy Monday!

Today my first post is a card I made for my little daughter who is my biggest fan. She loves flowers and mild colours, so I made this I love you card for her:

20160516_074916 (2)

First I die cut several flowers with a SSS flower die from white cardstock and coloured them with a sponge dauber and distress inks. Then a bit of shimmer with clear wink of stella and I layered them with foam squares.

20160516_074943

For the background I recycled some packaging cardstock, cut it with a stitched edge die from PPP and mounted it on a white cardbase with foam adhesive. The sentiment is from SSS also, cut from black cardstock. To balance the bold sentiment I added a strip of black cardstock on the top of my polka dot BG also. I rounded the corners on the bottom for a softer look. Few clear sequins from PPP and my card was ready.

20160516_074948 (2)

My girl loved it, I wish you like it too. This card goes for the SSS Wednesday Challenge – Flowers.

Clean and simple coffee card

Good morning,

I am popping in with a quick and easy card which I made for the Newton’s Nook Inky Paws Challenge #31.

20160514_063331 (2)

First I cut a smoke grey cardstock with a SSS swirly background and then with a stitched rectangle die as a base. Then I chose 3 matching cardstock from my stash and die cut a strip with a PPP border die from each. For the tag I used heavy weight white cardstock and my favourite SSS tag die. The bow is die cut also with a PPP die.

20160514_063236

On the tag I stamped Newton with a big coffee, masked his bottom and stamped some coffee beans with black ink. The sentiment is also from the same set. I coloured the images with Shinhan alcohol markers and assembled my card.

20160514_063248

A few sequins, glossy accent and wink of stella shimmer finished off this clean card. I used a gemstone for the middle of the bow.

20160514_063303

This was the sketch I used:

I hope you like my card, I will run now to have my first morning coffee.

Have a nice day,

Beach scene with YNS

Hello again,

It is my second post for today, as I made a card for Your Next Stamp Sketch Challenge #38 and I didn’t want to miss the submission deadline 😀

20160511_161621 (2)

I wanted a simple card with not many layers this time, so I masked off the sky, beach and the sun and sponged them with distress inks. Then I stamped the palms, the coconut drink and the camera on smooth white cardstock, coloured them with alcohol markers and fussy cut them out. For the island I took a strip of kraft cardstock and added some dots for the sand with my Shinhan markers.

20160511_161605

After gluing everything in place, I added some waves with a Sakura glitter pen, a little sparkle with Wink of Stella to the sun and the camera and a bit of glossy accent on the straw, lemon slice and some parts of the cam too. I also stamped 2 birds from a Lawn Fawn set to make the scene complete. The sentiment is from the same YNS stamp set (Vacation Phoebe).

20160511_161614

I hope you like my summer scene and got inspired. The challenge sketch was the following:

Stenciling with glitter paste

Hello,

Long time since my last post, I have troubles with downloading pictures. Today I wanted to share a card I made for SSS Wednesday Challenge Stencil it. Simon Wednesday Challenge Blog

I recently took the Clear&Sheer Online Card Class, which was gorgeous and full of inspiration. That clearly had an effect on my card.

20160509_155159 (2)

First, I took a piece of acetate and used the MFT sunray stencil with some Bobunny sugar glitter paste mixed with squeezed lemonade and mustard seed distress inks. I applied the paste with a palette knife and let it dry for long. Meanwhile I cut a white cardbase to have a half inch flap on the front only and used the remaining cardstock with a cloud border die from Mama Elephant 2 times and I also cut a strip of white cardstock to be able to sandwich my acetate sheet in-between.

20160509_155249_001

The sentiment is from The Greeting Farm Magical Friends stamp set, stamped with Altenew Mango Smoothie ink 4 times (the Misti makes it so easy). Then I glued the sunshine die cut from SSS which I cut from some shiny black packaging – I love to recycle when I make a card.

20160509_155228_001

A tiny strip of black cardstock on the top and a few SSS sequins and my card was finished. I love how transparent and shiny the sunrays are due to the coloured glitter paste.

20160509_155326 (2)

I hope you like it too and got inspired!

See you soon,

Zsofi
