I am trying to catch up with posts, so I am showing you another cutie I made for my daughter’s friend from the KG using the MFT Sketch #314. She has her birthday today.
I started with a piece of Bristol smooth cardstock, applied distress inks on it with a mini nk blending tool – Mermaid Lagoon and Tumbled glass. Then I used the new falling hearts stencil from SSS (I just got my December order, yay) and applied the same two inks. Then I shifted the stencil a bit and applied Bo Bunny glitter paste. I did not clean my stencil, so it still had a bit of ink on, which made the glittery hearts even more interesting.
Until my background was drying I stamped a cute MFT unicorn, the sun and a cloud from the same set in black and coloured with Shinhan markers. I die cut it, added Spectrum Noir shimmer to it’s hair and a black glaze pen I used on its eyes. I die cut a SSS tag from Bristol smooth cardstock and glued my die cut pieces on. I cut a stitched flag banner from on of the Blueprint Die-namics and black heat embossed my sentiment on it (also from MFT). I added pastel yellow ribbon and a silver metallic string as extra embellishment. I glued it on my background panel using foam tape.
I will upload this card to the MFT Sketch Challenge #314 , the SSS Monday Challenge and SSS Wednesday Challenge – as I was using some of the goodies from my latest order.
I hope you like it and will check back soon 😉
It has been a week since my last post, this year is not starting very well, but hopefully it will all get better soon and life gets back to normal. I still feel the end of the year tiredness, and I am in a big re-arrangement (it looks like we are the most messy family ever),which takes my energy totally. So not much left for crafting. I hope the order around me will help my creativity and in handling every day life too.
I wanna share one last card which I made for celebrating the new year. I wish with this one a real, good new year will start 🙂
I started my card with stamping the cute images from a Neat and Tangled set, coloured them with Shinhan markers.I die cut them with the coordinating dies along with some numbers (Lawn Fawn) from silver glitter paper. I also used a lovely stacked stars die from SSS, cut the glitter purple hearts apart and glued them separately on a scalloped stitched rectangle piece (wplus9). The card base is white, but I adhered a blue textured cardstock as a background for my scalloped piece. I also stamped the sentiment (Lawn Fawn) in black on the bottom of the card and as a finishing touch I used a black glaze pen on the eyes of the kids and glossy accents on the ribbon of the girl.
This card I gave to my mum in the end, with some nice wishes for 2017 inside. I felt that the images represent me and my kiddos in a funny, whimsical way.
I hope you like my card and will keep checking on my creations this year too. Thanks so much for spending a bit of your free time with me and all the sweet comments I got throughout the year.
I will play along with the SSS Monday Challenge Start afresh and Wednesday Challenge Something new with this card.
All the best for 2017,
Thanks to my sweet brother my laptop is neat and clean and working properly again. That means I can start posting all I could not in the last couple of days 🙂 First is a card I made to celebrate the new year.
First I die cut a stitched rectangle (SSS) from black cardstock and using the fireworks stencil (it was included in a SSS card kit over the summer) I added Versamark ink and heat embossed the fireworks with different colours of WOW embossing powders.
The I used the Celebrate die from Neat and Tangled to cut teal glitter paper and a silver metallic cardstock for the shadow behind. I also used the same cardstocks for the 2017 banner (MFT die set).
I glued it all flat and added a silver cardstock mat to the black piece before adhering it to a simple white card base.
That is it for today, I hope 2017 will be even more crafty than 2016 was and I can inspire you even more often. I will do my best, I promise 😉
I will submit this project to the SSS Wednesday challenge Anything goes.
Wishing you all a wonderful New Year,
