I just could not stop blogging and decided to publish my card for MFT Camp Create Day 5 as well. I have finished all my cards for the camp yesterday and I wanted to show them all as quickly as possible. So now that my little boy is having a nap and my daughter is watching a princess cartoon I can write this post too.
So Day 5 is about Delightful die-cutting. I still had leftover white flowers from Day 1 and a pretty rainbow background I made a few weeks ago. They were just shouting for each other.
The background was done with a diagonal stencil, I applied distress inks in rainbow order. After removing the stencil, I went back with the same inks for a more subtle look. I saw Nichol Spohr doing it once and I had to try this technique.
I die cut it with a stitched scalloped border die and adhered a thin strip of purple foil cardstock on the top. It all went on a white top folding card base.
I glued 3 stitched white flowers on the rainbow background, used an MFT Thanks die cut from the same purple foil and stamped a sentiment under it in black.
A few matte enamel dots from Doodlebug in the middle of the flowers made the rainbow background pop even more.
Hope you got inspired to use up every little piece left from your cardmaking sessions. Come back tomorrow for some more fun.
