Hello Everyone,
Today is the birthday of my beloved niece and I had to make a card colourful and cute as she is. HAPPY BIRTHDAY RANA!
I had a left over piece of a stencilled diagonal rainbow, which was a perfect starting point. I knew I wanted to use die cut letters and the Neat and Tangled Journaling alphas are skinny enough to spell Birthday easily.
To make it cute, I stamped and coloured images from the Neat and Tangled Itty Bitty Welcoming committee and the Cottontail cuties set. Fussy cut them, dressed up the bunny with the rainbow birthday hat and adhered them around the die cut letters.
I stamped the Happy from Cottontail cuties above, I just had to mask off the rest of the sentiment (as it is an Easter set). I love to get more use out of my stamps by using them not only for the occasion they were designed for.
As a finishing touch I added a metallic pink stitched strip (Lawn Fawn Picket Fence die) and a bit of Spectrum Noir shimmer pen to the party hat and flower. Black glaze pen on the eyes, glossy accent on the noses and pompom finished it off.
I will link this project up to the Little Tangles Birthday Challenge #83.
I hope you like it and will return soon for more fun projects.
See you,
Zsofi
Oh my goodness, this couldn’t get any cuter!! I love that you used only two little critters on your card, makes them even more special. And that rainbow panel on the side is stunning!!!! Its a spectacular CAS card and I’m so very glad you shared it with us at Little Tangles this month!
