Creating texture with die cuts

Hello Everyone,

I am popping in today with a card I made late night yesterday for the MFT Sketch Challenge #347. I just love this sketch so much and could not let it go without making one card at least.

I started with die cutting the frame using 2 nesting stitched arch dies from MFT several times: for the bottom layers I use white packaging leftovers and for the top I used Bristol Smooth cardstock. I stacked them together and set it aside. Then I took the inner piece and ran it through the Big Shot machine with the starry background die several times until I got it covered with the stars completely.

Then I sponged Wilted Violet and Blueprint sketch distress inks on it and backed it with silver glitter paper. I cut a strip of blue violet cardstock and white heat embossed the sentiment on the bottom of it from the Written in the stars sentiment set.

I adhered all the pieces to a white card base and glued all the little leftover stars on the white panel for texture. I love the white-on-white look, it is like I used an embossing folder.

I needed some cute critters of course, so I used the Snuggling friends and the Somebunny loves you sets to stamp a few on Bristol Smooth cardstock and I used the Zig Clean Colour Real Brush markers to colour them. I die cut them with the coordinating dies and used 3D foam squares to secure them on the card.

A bit of Spectrum Noir Shimmer pen on the T-shirt of the bunny and black gel pen on the noses finished off this cute little scene. It can cheer anyone up in the upcoming school year.

I will link this project up on the MFT Sketch Challenge and to the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge School or study related and to the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge Back to school.

I hope you like my card and will return soon for more inspiration.

Have a wonderful day,

Zsofi
