The importance of coffee

Hello Coffee Lovers!

It is the time for the Fall Coffee Lovers Blog Hop and as a true coffee addict, I had to make a card.

2017 fall hop

We all know the feeling before we can get our first sips of the morning coffee, my kids learnt it already at an early age: it is better if they let me drink coffee first and only after ask for anything 😀

So I was longing to use the Cuppa Cacti set from Newton’s Nook Designs, I stamped the images on marker friendly cardstock and coloured them with Copics. I die cut the panel with a double stitched rectangle from MFT. I made a mat for it from Peacock cardstock and die cut another double stitched rectangle from a special gold cardstock for a framed look.

I heat embossed the sentiments on a dark brown banner and a double stitched circle, I found that the Ranger Liquid Platinum embossing powder matched perfectly the special golden mat I created. I used 3D foam tape to attach it to the focal panel.

A pretty pattered paper from Doodlebug as a background was a perfect finishing touch. I used Spectrum Noir shimmer pen on the flowers and the cups, and covered the latter with glossy accent for a shiny look. A tiny golden gemstone in the middle of the flower was the only embellishment I used.

I hope you like this Sunday morning funny card and will return soon for more inspiration.
