Clean and simple Christmas

Hello Everyone,

I am popping in today morning with a quick post for the MFT Sketch Challenge #353. This is the sketch:

And this is my card:

I started with die cutting a piece of heavy weight cardstock with a rounded rectangle die from Blueprint 6. I created a mask with a did cut circle from masking paper and used the negative to sponge Distress Oxide inks on my panel. I also made the snow banks by masking and sponging ink with a very light hand. Before removing the mask, I stamped the falling snow background stamp with white pigment ink on it.

The sentiment is white heat embossed on red velvet cardstock. I love the smooth rubbery feel of this cardstock, but the antistatic powder tool leaves a little residue on it which doesn’t show much in real life (less visible than on the pics). The strip is popped up on the card with 3D foam tape.

From Kathy Racoosin’s 30 day colouring challenge I had an already coloured and die cut Santa and a Christmas tree, so I could quickly finish this card. A bit of Spectrum Noir shimmer pen, Stickles and glossy accent totally dressed up Santa, who is also popped up with 3D foam tape.

I will link this project up also on the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge Christmas.

Thanks for popping in and hope to see you again soon.
