Merry kisses

Hello Everyone,

Today I brought you a card I made for the Little Tangles Sketch Challenge #85.

Here is my card:

I have recently got the Merry kisses stamp and die set, which I think is my favourite image this year. These foxes are totally adorable! I coloured them with Copics and die cut them with the coordinating dies.

To create a festive but simple background I followed the sketch and created a white stitched frame using SSS stitched rectangle and square dies. I created a layering frame from gold glitter cardstock using one size smaller square and my guillotine trimmer. I stamped and heat embossed the sentiment in colourful inks and Versamark with clear embossing powder. I wanted the sentiment to match the colour combo I used for the foxes.

On a white card base I gently blended some Tumbled glass distress ink and glued the frame and fox couple down flat. I added some Studio Katia snow crystals as falling snow. I also placed the little mistletoe above them using a bit of 3D foam squares. A tiny teal bow and a little golden gemstone in the middle “holds” it in place.

As a finishing touch I added Spectrum Noir shimmer pen to the scarf and glossy accent on the stripes and mistletoe. I also used a black glaze pen on the noses and white gel pen on the cheeks.

This is my favourite Christmas card till now this year, I hope you like it as much as I do!

Thanks for stopping by and hope to see you back soon.

Have a lovely weekend,

  1. I really must get my hands on this stamp set, you’ve really sold me on it with your beautiful colouring of those sweet foxes. Love the use of the sketch and the gold glitter showing around the edges is a fantastic idea. I’m so glad you joined us this month at Little Tangles!
