Holiday Card Series 2017 – sweet puppy card

Hello Everyone,

If you follow me on IG, you might have seen that I was inspired by Jennifer McGuire and was playing with alcohol inks for the first time ever in my life. It is totally addictive, I am looking for a quick restock option for the Yupo paper so I can continue playing 🙂 This technique definitely worked better for me with Yupo than with regular glossy photo paper.

So I turned one of my backgrounds to a simple but cute Christmas card for the MFT Sketch Challenge 358.

Here is my card:

I stamped and coloured the cute puppy from the new Birdie Brown set using Copic markers. I used the coordinating dies to cut it out. I also cut several  MFT Dotted circle frames an adhered them on top of each other for more dimension.

I chose a Hungarian sentiment (Merry Christmas) and heat embossed with Ranger Verdigris embossing powder on a strip of white cardstock. I repeated the heat embossing another time and once more with a clear embossing powder to achieve a really raised an shiny look.

I adhered the alcohol inked background to a top folding white card base, added the circle frame and sentiment and popped up the puppy with 3D foam tape in the middle.

A bit of Spectrum Noir Shimmer pen on the cap and scarf and glossy accent finished off this cute little card.

I will upload this to the MFT Sketch Challenge 358.
