Happy Birthday, my little boy!

Hello Everyone,

Today is the birthday of my little boy, we had a lovely (and hectic) family gathering in the morning finished with a delicious lunch at a nearby restaurant. My little one turned 4, I cannot believe it! It seems like it was yesterday that I held him in my arms for the first time!

As he is fond of helicopters and planes, I made an interactive card for him using Winston Takes Flight from Newton’s Nook Designs. I stamped and coloured the image with Copics together with an extra propeller. I used the coordinating die to cut it out and I fussy cut the extra piece with scissors. To make it sturdier, I cut an extra layer from simple white cardstock for both and layered them under the coloured ones. I attached the extra propeller with a brad to allow a little movement.

I used the MFT Cloud stencil and Distress ink to make the sky background. I die cut a stitched frame rectangle, a stitched cloud border and the Happy birthday sentiment (all from Lawn Fawn) and adhered them to the scene.

I stamped an extra sentiment on the top of the sky with black ink (from the same NND set). I added the airplane with an action wobble. A bit of sparkle and glossy accent finished this cute card.

And I have to share also with you the card my daughter made for her brother: stencilled, stamped and coloured with love and care.

I will upload these to the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge Anything goes.
