A new Inky Paws Challenge is starting today, IPC #61 is a great sketch:
Here is my take on it:
I wanted something colourful and non-traditional this time. I found a pretty striped patterned paper I my stash which I really wanted to use. I stamped and coloured the cute houses from the Snow Globe scenes stamp set using Copics in coordinating colours. I die cut the image with the coordinating die. I cut a small stitched rectangle from textured light blue cardstock, and a tiny bit bigger on from white cardstock. I also die cut a banner from metallic green cardstock.
I stamped the Santa with the reindeers and the sentiment on the blue piece using black ink and my MISTI. It was essential this time due to the textured cardstock, I had to stamp 3 times to get a good black impression.
After assembling the card I embellished it with a die cut white snowflake and a red button. Before gluing the button in place, I led a red-white twine through its holes and tied a bow. I secured it with Ranger Multi Matte Medium to make sure it will not come undone.
I could not call it “my card” without a bit of Spectrum Noir shimmer (on the windows and doors) and glossy accents (on the roofs and doors).
I hope you like it and got inspired to participate. You have 2 weeks to link up your project to the Inky Paws Challenges website and you might be the lucky winner of a 20 USD gift certificate to the NND online store.
I will also link this project to the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge Anything goes.
See you soon and have a great week,
