Coffee card – IPC72

Inky Paws ChallengeGood morning Everyone,

I am back today with a cute coffee card for the Inky Paws Challenge at Newton’s Nook Designs. The new challenge is about Buttons. You can create anything, just add buttons to it

For my card I stamped, coloured and die cut the cute owl from the NND Sending hugs NND Sending hugs set. I love how the dies cut around the wings so you can slip anything in between.

Then I selected some gorgeous patterned paper from Doodlebug which matched the coffee theme. I used MFT Blueprints 6 to cut the embellishing elements too from matching cardstock scraps. I followed an older sketch as inspiration for my card (MFT sketch #139).

For the sentiment I used a Coffee die from Stamplorations and stamped a sentence from the NND Love and Chocolate stamp set with Gina K Designs Sea glass ink.

I assembled the card and popped up the owl and the cute paper button with 3D foam squares. A little twine and glossy accents finished off my coffee themed card.

I hope you like it and got inspired to play along with us. IPC #72 IPC #72 is open until 25th May 2018, so you have 2 weeks to link up your button project to be eligible for the drawing of 20USD gift certificate to the Newton’s Nook Designs online store. Hope to see your creations there.

See you soon,

Vellum overlay – IPC71

Inky Paws ChallengeHello Everyone,

Monday means fresh Inky Paws Challenge inspiration. The current colour challenge offers such a beautiful colour combination, that it inspired me to make my own patterned paper.

I started with stamping the images from Fanciful florals (retiring, great price but you have to hurry to get it before it is gone!) on a top folding card base. I used various Altenew inks.

When the pattern was done, I used the smaller stamps from the set to fill in the gaps. I love how it turned out.

To mute the colours I decided to add a vellum layer, where I stamped the sentiment with black Staz-on ink from the Birthday Essentials stamp set. I have not found a good adhesive which does not show through the vellum, so I added a double sided adhesive sheet behind the whole panel. In this way it is securely attached but you don’t see the adhesive.

I hope you like my design and got inspired to participate in the challenge. You have time until this Friday to link up your projects to the Inky Paws Challenge website. You can win a 20USD gift certificate to the Newton’s Nook Designs online store.

Hope to see your creations there!

See you soon,

Happy Mother’s Day!

Hello Everyone,

It is Mother’s Day in Hungary (also my birthday) today and I am popping in to show you the card I made for mum in the name of my kids.

I used the Lawn Fawn Mom and me stamp and die set, coloured the cute images with Copic markers. I made a card base from Bristol Smooth cardstock and sponged some Distress inks on the front and inside as well. I distressed it with water.

I stamped the Sentiments with black Lawn Fawn ink on the front, and also some flowers, hearts and a butterfly using Distress Oxide inks. I added the cute images, embellished them with glossy accents and a black glaze pen. A few iridescent jewels I adhered to the middle of the flowers.

For the inside I used the new Pivot die to create a fun pop up element. I sponged some Distress inks on the outer rectangles of the pop-up and adhered some more images from the same stamp set. In the middle rectangles I placed pics of my kids in LF Mini Picture frames.

I used LF Cole’s ABC to spell “we love you” on the upper part, and left the bottom empty for my message. When it was done, I used a bit of twine to hold the card closed. It looks like a little present in this way.

I will upload this card to the Lawnfawnatics Challenge #27 3D cards and the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge Animal Magic.

I hope you like it and will check back soon to see other cards I made for this special day for my friends 😉
