Wild Birthday – Lawnfawnatics #31

Hello Everyone,

Summer vacation is in full swing but I am still making a lot of cards. This one today was inspired by the current Lawnfawnatics Challenge #31 Flowers, Floral and Foliage. I used only Lawn Fawn stamps and dies.

Lawnfawnatics_31_01

I had some cute critters from the Wild for you stamp set coloured and die cut. I wanted to make them a nice wild background so I die cut the Peekaboo backdrop die once from white and once from dark green cardstock and stacked them together. I also cut the Bayou backdrop die twice from green cardstock and placed pieces of it behind the Peekaboo frame.

Lawnfawnatics_31_05

I lightly sponged SSS Seaglass ink on a white card stock and stamped the sentiment with black and Jalapeno inks. I used the frame as guide to know where to stamp exactly. Then I adhered the frame and the critters too.

Lawnfawnatics_31_03

A few white gel pen dots and a bit of glossy accent here and there finished it off.

Lawnfawnatics_31_04

I will submit this card to the Lawnfawnatics Challenge #31 and the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge Anything goes.

I hope you like this fun card and will return soon for more inspiration.

Beary good time – IPC#75

2017_BlogHeader_x2Hello Everyone,

It is Monday again, time for a new Inky Paws Challenge #75. The theme this time is Cute Animals.

IPC75_zsm01_IG

For my card today I used the recently released Papa bear stamp and die set. I stamped, coloured an die cut the images using Zig Clean Colour Real brush markers. I used Bristol Smooth cardstock as I find it helps the blending of the Zig markers. After die cutting them I added some white gel pen details, used a black glaze pen on their eyes and also some Tonic Nuvo Drops (walnut) on their noses for more dimension.

IPC75_zsm01_04

Until they were drying I worked on the background. I started with sponging Squeezed Lemonade distress ink on Bristol Smooth cardstock. Then I took the Sunray stencil (MFT) and blended some Wild Honey and Mustard seed Distress inks. Before removing the stencil I sprayed Tsukineko Shimmer Mist for a subtle sparkly effect.

IPC75_zsm01_03

For the waves I blended Salty ocean and Faded Jeans distress inks on Bristol Smooth cardstock and spritzed them with water. I let it dry for 30sec and then I dabbed it off with a paper towel. I blended some more ink and spritzed again. When the panel was dry I die cut 3 waves with a Mama Elephant die set.

IPC75_zsm01_05

I used 3D foam tape to assemble the scene as I wanted it to have a lot of dimension. The sentiment is from the Aloha Newton stamp set, stamped on the background with black ink.

IPC75_zsm01_06

As a finishing touch I used some yellow jewels from Lucy’s Little Things and scattered them around the images.

IPC75_zsm01_02

I hope you got inspired and will participate in this lovely Inky Paws Challenge #75. You have 2 weeks to link up your projects to be eligible for the prize: one random winner will get a 20 USD gift certificate to the Newton’s Nook Designs online store.

Hello Sunshine

Hello Everyone,

I wanted to share with you a really summery card inspired by the Seven Hills Crafts monthly challenge.

Image may contain: ocean, water, text and outdoor

SHC_junechallenge_01

I wanted to use my new goodies I received from SHC a week or so ago. I stamped and coloured with Zig Clean Colour Real Brush markers the MFT Beach babe image. I used the coordinating dies to cut her out.

SHC_junechallenge_02

Added some sparkle (Tonic Aqua shimmer pen) and shine (Glossy Accents), and used a black glaze pen on her eyes.

SHC_junechallenge_03

Then I worked on the background on a stitched rectangle cut from Bristol Smooth paper. The inspirational photo really made me try to make a pink sandy beach. I used Distress Oxide inks and masking tape. For the water I tore the masking tape for an uneven edge and made sure that there is a tiny white gap between the sandy beach and the sea to look more realistic. I used the MFT Waves stencil to add the waves.

SHC_junechallenge_06

For the sentiment I stamped Hello in black and adhered under it a die cut Sunshine. I cut it twice, once from white and once from pink glitter paper and layered them a bit offset for a shadow effect.

SHC_junechallenge_04

I popped up the girl with 3D foam squares and hand drew some birds in the background. And my card is finished. I really love the pink-teal look.

SHC_junechallenge_05

I will upload this card to the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge Bright and Cheerful too.

Thanks for stopping by today and hope to see you soon again.

Have a lovely weekend,

Zsofi

You are my favourite

Hello Everyone,

I did not have time to share with you the card I made for my sweet husband for Father’s Day – it can actually serve as an everyday card too. I used the MFT Sketch Challenge #389 as inspiration for the layout.

MFTsketch389_01

I started with die cutting a white stitched rectangle and die cut the You are my favourite die on the right side. Then I popped up the panel on an aqua striped patterned paper using 3D foam tape.

MFTsketch389_05

I stamped some of the bears from the Bitty Bears stamp set, coloured them with Copics and cut them with the coordinating dies. I mounted them on the background using 3D foam squares. I added some extra shimmer and shine to the balloon and present the bears are holding with a Tonic Aqua Shimmer pen and glossy accents.

MFTsketch389_03

I also used a black glaze pen on the eyes and noses, the latter got a bit of glossy accent to for more dimension.

MFTsketch389_02

The sentiment is from the All About Mom stamp set, white heat embossed on a thin strip of chocolate cardstock.

MFTsketch389_04

I will link this up to the MFT Sketch Challenge #389. I hope you like my card and will return soon for more inspiration.

See you,

Zsofi

Inky Paws ChallengeHello Everyone,

I am here today to show you fresh inspiration for the Inky Paws Challenge #74. The colours are so inspiring and bright:

IPC74_zsm02_IG

For my card today I sponged white pigment ink through the Cloudy sky stencil on a light blue cardstock piece which is 4,25×5,5 inches. I set it aside to dry, meanwhile I cut some grass also from green cardstock and layered them on top of each other. I heat embossed a sentiment on it from the Birthday essentials stamp set.

IPC74_zsm02_03

I stamped and coloured with Copic markers the hot air balloon with Newton in it. I just love this image from the Newton dreams of Paris stamp set. I used the coordinating dies to cut it out. I added some subtle sparkle with a Tonic Aqua shimmer pen and glossy accents on the hearts.

IPC74_zsm02_04

Then I stamped a sentiment from Winston takes flight on the cloudy background. I popped up the coloured image with an action wobble. As a finishing touch I added some flower sequins from Studio Katia and a yellow gem in the middle from Pretty Pink Posh.

IPC74_zsm02_02

I hope you like my card and will return soon for more inspiration. You still have time until Friday (22/06) to play along with this challenge for a chance to win a 20 USD gift certificate to the Newton’s Nook Designs online store.

Happy Eid

Hello Everyone,

I am so late posting this, but I wanted to wish all my Muslim friends and family a very happy Eid – in stile, with a handmade card.

eid2018_01

I heat embossed the images and sentiments from Altenew on Bristol Smooth cardstock using Versamark and Versafine Onyx Black inks and silver sparkle and clear embossing powders.

eid2018_02

Then I blended several shades of Distress Oxide inks: Cracked Pistachio, Mermaid Lagoon, Blueprint Sketch and Black Soot. I spritzed it with water, dabbed it off with a paper towel and gave it some Shimmer Spritz for a subtle sparkle.

eid2018_03

Then I die cut the whole panel with a stitched rectangle die and adhered it to a white card base.

eid2018_04

I hope you like my card and will pop in tomorrow for some beach fun.

See you,

Zsofi

Father’s Day Cards

Hello Everyone,

In Hungary we do not have officially Father’s Day which is so unjust in my opinion. So I plan to celebrate with my kids and the heroes of our family on Saturday. I made already 2 cards which my kids can give them: one for grandpa and one for daddy. The layout was inspired by the current MFT Sketch Challenge #388.

MFT_fathersday_05

MFT_fathersday_02

I stamped the images from the Giraffing me crazy set, coloured them with Copics and cut them out with the coordinating dies.

MFT_fathersday_07

I cut 2 simple white tags and glued the giraffes on them. On one card I placed them in a way that they look like hugging each other. So cute!

MFT_fathersday_03

I heat embossed the chosen sentiments (one from the stamp set, the other from the More Essential sentiments set) in white on dark cardstock scraps and cut some banners. I adjusted the length with the partial die-cutting technique.

MFT_fathersday_04

MFT_fathersday_06

I chose patterned papers as backgrounds and popped up the tags with 3D foam tape. I embellished the cards with a little enamel heart on each. I could not resist adding google eyes to the giraffes and used glossy accent on their dots for a special look.

I hope you like it and will return soon for more inspiration.

IPC74_zsm01_IG

I have recently received my latet order from Newton’s Nook Designs and I knew I have to use the beautiful Peony blooms stamp and die set. So I coloured the flowers with yellow and green shades of Copics, added a lot of sparkle with a clear shimmer pen and some dots with a black glaze pen in the middle of them.

IPC74_zsm01_01

For the background I die cut a stitched rectangle and sponged some Mermaid Lagoon distress ink very lightly through a diagonal stripes stencil. I made sure to fade it out towards the edges for a softer look.

IPC74_zsm01_04

I stamped the sentiment in black and popped up the flowers with 3D foam squares.

IPC74_zsm01_02

I gave the panel a light blue mat and embellished the card with some clear sequins.

I hope you got inspired and will join us in the Inky Paws Challenge #74. You have 2 weeks to play along for a chance to win a 20USD gift certificate to the Newton’s Nook Designs online store.

Pirate birthday

Hello Everyone,

I am popping in today with a cute scene card (my favourite type of all) using Lawn Fawn stamps and dies. I made this for the son of a good friend of mine who is turning 7 years old soon.

Lawnfawnatics30_01

I stamped and coloured the images as part of Kathy Racoosin’s 30 days colouring challenge from the Ahoy Matey stamp set. I used Copics and the coordinating dies to cut them out.

Lawnfawnatics30_03

I created a scene: I used the stitched cloud backdrop die on white cardstock as a background, then cut a stitched wave from aqua shimmer cardstock and a simple stitched hillside from kraft. I also die cut a sun from the Spring showers die set.

Lawnfawnatics30_02

I stamped the sentiment with Versamark ink on a black banner an heat embossed with white embossing powder.

Lawnfawnatics30_07

I assembled the scene, popped up some of the images and the sentiment banner with 3D foam tape and added some clear shimmer an glossy accents to some details.

Lawnfawnatics30_06

Lawnfawnatics30_05

I will link this card to the Lawnfawnatics Challenge Cards for guys and also to the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge All things bright and beautiful.

Hello, gullfriend

Hello Everyone,

I am popping in today with a last minute card for the current MFT Sketch Challenge #387.

MFTsketch387_01

I started with stamping an colouring the funny seagulls from the MFT Seaside seagulls set using Copic markers. I used the coordinating dies to cut them out, adorned them with funny google eyes and added glossy accent to their beaks.

MFTsketch387_02

For the background I masked off 3 stripes on Bristol Smooth paper using painter’s tape. I applied Distress inks (Blueprint Sketch, Mermaid Lagoon and Broken China). Then I taped down the MFT Abstract stencil and went back with the same inks. Before removing the stencil I sprayed it with Tsukineko Shimmer Spritz for a subtle sparkle.

MFTsketch387_03

When my panel was all dry I heat embossed in white 3 of the sentiments form the same stamp set.

MFTsketch387_05

Finally I used 3D foam squares to mount the seagulls and added some clouds too with liquid glue.

MFTsketch387_04

I will also link this up to the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge All things bright and beautiful and Wednesday Challenge Anything goes.

I hope you like this card and will join me next time too for more fun projects.

See you,

Zsofi
