Today is all about some great new mini sets. And some of them have coordinating dies too, yay! Let’s go through them one by one.

Floaty Goat

As soon as I saw this extremely funny set, I had in mind an interactive card. I stamped and coloured the image with Copics, then die cut it with the coordinating die.

For my scene I die cut a stitched rounded rectangle (Frames and Flags die set) from patterned paper, stamped the sentiment on the top using black ink and die cut some white cloud outlines (Paper Smooches).

For the slider, I die cut the same stitched rectangle from blue cardstock and used the Land Borders die to cut the water. I used the other half of the panel as the background for my slider. I added doubled up 3D foam tape to have enough space for the sliding disc (MFT) to move freely. The whole panel I popped up on a red patterned paper and added a bit of sparkle and shine to the coloured image using Tonic Aqua Shimmer pen and glossy accents.

Here is a little video which shows this card in action.

Vitamin sea

For this card I went for a sandy look, so I used the Seashells stencils on kraft cardstock and a fun Sand-gold Strukture paste from Viva. It really looks like sand when it is dry.

I die cut this panel with a stitched rectangle die and gave it a dark brown mat. The sentiment I heat embossed on cream cardstock using Brutus Monroe Sand Castle embossing powder.

I die cut it with a smaller stitched rectangle die, gave it a thin brown mat and popped it up on the stencilled background using 3D foam tape.

Pina koala

This is such an adorable set! I stamped and coloured the sweet koala using Copics, die cut it with the coordinating dies.

I die cut some green leaves with the Hibiscus die set, and a tag from patterned paper using the Fancy Edges Tag die set. I arranged the leaves and popped up the koala with 3D foam tape. I cut another tag from yellow cardstock and layered it under slightly offset. For the sentiment I cut a fancy edge from kraft cardstock, and embellished it with a green reinforcer and yellow twine.

I cut a piece of pineapple patterned paper, gave it a green mat and adhered it to a kraft card base. I mounted the tag with 3D foam tape, and as a finishing touch I added some yellow sequins and glossy accents to the pineapple.

Cat treats

One of the sweetest sets among the new minis. Again I used Copics to colour them, and die cut them with the coordinating dies. I added some sparkle and glossy accent to the sprinkles and cherry.

I used a stitched square die to cut a textured cream panel for my images, an gave it a postage stamp brown mat. The sentiment is white heat embossed on a pink cardstock strip, which I matted with brown and kraft strips. I arranged all these on a dotted pink patterned paper and used White Crystals (Studio Katia) as embellishments.

Flip Flop Life

I saved the best for last, this set is my favourite of all. I stamped a bunch of flip flops, die cut them and coloured them in rainbow style.

I added some clear shimmer to the dots and glossy accents to the straps. I stamped the sentiment on white cardstock and used a dotted circle die to die cut it.

I added 3D foam tape to the back of it and adhered the flip flops. Then I turned it over, added 3D foam tape again to it all and mounted them on a white card base on which I sponged some blue distress ink beforehand. I added some clear sequins as embellishments.
