I am back today with an anniversary card I made for my parents for their 40th wedding anniversary. Unbelievably long time, and since my mum loves my cute cards the most, I decided to create something special for them with the Hello Bluebird new release.
I started with stamping and colouring the images from the Bee happy stamp set using Copic markers. I die cut them with their coordinating dies. I added some extra details with a white gel pen, a black glaze pen, and made sure the wings are sparkly enough due to the Tonic Aqua shimmer pen I used on them.
I also added glossy accents to the glasses of one of the bees.
Then I die cut a white heavy weight cardstock panel with the Poppy stamps Honeycomb curve die and backed I with gold metallic cardstock. I trimmed thin black cardstock pieces to add to the sides of the panel and adhered it all to a white top folding notecard.
Then I stamped the sentiments from several sets (MFT From the heart, Welcome baby) using Gina K Designs Amalgam black ink and a Honey Mustard ink also from Gina K Designs. I also stamped the trails of the bees with the same black ink.
I popped up the bees with 3D foam squares and added some fun gold sequins from Honey Bee Stamps which matched the theme perfectly.
I will upload this card to the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge Anything goes.
I hope you like my card and will return soon for more inspiration.
