Crocodile birthday ft. Heffy Doodle

Hello Everyone,

I have recently got my hands on some Heffy Doodle stamps, dies and stencils, and I was finally able to get some play time and make some cards with them. I am in love with their style, the stamps are really versatile and easy to combine. Today I played with the Party Palooza and the Happy Snappy Crocs stamps and dies.

I started with stamping, colouring and die cutting the images. Then I just sat down and played with them – it is really relaxing. I came up with a few Croc-cake combos, and I adhered them together as I wanted to put them on my cards. I also embellished each with Tonic Aqua Shimmer pen and Glossy accents.

Then I created the backgrounds. I die cut 3 postage stamp edged rectangles (Newton’s Nook Designs Frameworks die set) from Bristol Smooth cardstock. I masked off the stitched edge and applied Distress inks through the Numicon Stencil. I wanted a variation so I used different ink colours on each panel.

Then I mounted these on kraft card bases and stamped the sentiments on each. On some cards I white heat embossed parts of the sentiments on dark brown cardstock and used the coordinating dies to cut around them. I just love the look!

When all was stamped and arranged, I adhered the cards together. I used 3D foam tape to mount the crocs with the cakes.

I will link this project up to the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Wild Thing and Wednesday Challenge Make your own background.

I hope you like my cards and got enthusiastic to try some Heffy Doodle fun too.

See you soon,
