Newton’s Nook Designs September Release – DAY 3

Hello Everyone,

We are getting closer to Friday, 14/09/2018 when all new September sets will be available at Newton’s Nook Designs. But still some adorable new stamps are waiting to be revealed. Today the Design Team features Harvest Tail, the most adorable stamp set of this Fall.

I started by stamping and colouring all the cute images with Copic markers and I used the coordinating dies to cut them out.

I wanted to create a Fall forest scene and as I had so many images coloured, I ended up making 2 cards with the same layout. I just changed up the sentiment.

So I did a bunch of die cutting: a stitched cloud backdrop (Lawn Fawn) from white cardstock, some trees (MFT Tree-mendous) from different shades of green and finally the grassy border.

I arranged the stamped images on the created forest scenes and adhered them flat or with 3D foam tape (I used the one from Simon Says Stamp as it is so thin but still gives extra dimension).

I also stamped the sentiments in black on the tops of the cards.

To take the card designs to the next level, I added some Fall coloured sequins (Neat and Tangled). I also added Tonic Aqua clear shimmer to the pumpkins an some glossy accents to the stems and wheels. I also emphasized the eyes and noses of the critters with a black glaze pen, and added some freckles with a white gel pen to their cheeks.
