Hello Again,
As promised here is my second card for the MFT Card Design Superstar contest, for the Colouring Virtuoso category. I love to colour and the medium I enjoy the most is Copics. So I made a cute little Halloween card:
I started with stamping and colouring the images from the Witch way to the candy stamp set (the older version). I used new-to-me colours to stretch my supplies, I really enjoyed coming up with new colour combos. I used the coordinating dies to cut the images out. (As these are the old dies, the white rim is a bit wider than on the newer designs. I am thinking of re-ordering this stamp/die set, since I use it often and would love to have open dies)
For the background I bounced some blue-purple-black alcohol inks on Yupo paper with the help of a round felt blending tool and blending solution. I kept going till I achieved that marbled look. I think it is a pretty night sky like this.
To set the scene I die cut the Farm fence from grey cardstock an some grassy borders from black shimmer cardstock. I assembled the card placing the witch in the front using 3D foam tapes, while all the rest was adhered flat.
The sentiment is white heat embossed on a thin strip of black cardstock and added to the top of my card. To finish the design, I used a white gel pen and a black glaze pen to add some details and also some glossy accents on the boots, hat and the bow of the cat. I could not resist adding funny eerie eyes to the cat, it looks so funny this way!
If I had more time, I would try to create something for the Innovation Master category too, but I think I just need to let it go this year.
Thanks for checking my entries for the MFT Card Design Superstar Contest. Now just wish me luck to be selected 😉
See you soon with more fun cards!
