It has been a while since I had the chance to play along crafty challenges but one of my New Year’s crafty resolution is to play more and do more of what I love. So here you go, my first challenge card this year I made for the MFT Colour and Sketch Challenges:
I started with die cutting the 2 bigger dies from the Blueprints 31 die set from Navy cardstock and patterned paper. I used the Painted Prints Smitten paper pad.
I also cut the sentiment strip die from silver cardstock and used black Staz on ink to stamp a simple sentiment from the Essential sentiments set. I adhered the layers and the strip to a white top folding note card.
Then I created the flower: I die cut the biggest one from the Stitched Blooms set from teal cardstock, adhered a white matte enamel dot in the middle and used little silver pearls to surround it. It looks so elegant!
I decided I need a bit of embellishment still, therefore I die cut some leaves from the same die set using heavy weight vellum. I adhered the leaves under the flowers using a tape runner and popped up the flower in its place with 3D foam squares.
I hope you like today’s card and will pop in again soon. See you next time with something cute.
