I have a cute, masculine love card on the Newton’s Nook Designs blog today. I am totally into owls this winter, and the Love Owl-ways stamp set is absolutely one of my favourites. Aren’t these birds just the sweetest?
I started with stamping and colouring the owl couple using warm grey copic markers. I cut them out with the coordinating dies. I also die cut some white and grey trees from the Forest Scene Builder die set and also some speech bubbles (Lawn Fawn die) to hold my sentiments which I stamped in black.
I chose an orange plaid patterned paper from the Lawn Fawn Perfectly Plaid paper pad and a grey toned one from Reverse Confetti. I cut the latter to a strip, matted it with dark grey and arranged the scene. I layered the grey trees and speech bubbles under the white ones tiny offset to create a shadow. It makes them pop off the background.
The owls I mounted with 3D foam squares and stamped an additional sentiment on the orange patterned paper to finish the card. A little bit of glossy accent I had to add to the beaks, but I did not use any further embellishment this time.
I hope you like my card and got inspired. Hope you pop in again tomorrow for some more fun projects!
