Today I have a little tutorial for you on how to get a pretty yet simple and very colourful card design. The recipe is simple: take a piece of patterned paper, some matching Hybrid ink colours and the new Wordalicious stamp set.

I started with adhering a gorgeous rainbow hearts patterned paper from the Candy Counter paper pad to cover the entire A2 sized card front.

Then I selected ink pads which matched the hearts: Four Leaf, Bali Blue, Dark Wash Jeans, La La Lavender, Grape Ape and Lipstick Jungle. I arranged the words I wanted to use in my stamp positioner using a lined acetate sheet as helper to make sure the spacing is right. As I used the mini ink cubes, I could easily ink up each word with a different colour at once. The stamp positioner allowed me to stamp them 3 times to make the colours pop and dark enough. Then I cut the stamped panel down.

Then I die cut 2 different scallop border dies: one from dark blue and one from lavender cardstock, layered them on top of each other and adhered to the white stamped panel. It is an easy way to add a little extra to a simple design.

I love the result, it is easy to re-create, even to make multiples of. And it is so colourful, totally cheers me up!

I hope you liked today’s inspiration and you will hop along and comment to win. Here is the full list for today:
