Newton’s Nook Designs April Release – Day 1

Hello Everyone,

What a wonderful Monday it is, we have beautiful spring weather in Hungary. And it is the first day of the April Release reveals at Newton’s Nook Designs! Get ready for so much cuteness this month! All products will be available on Friday 12/04!

Today our team showcases the adorable new piggy set called Oink along with a new stencil and 2 new die sets! What a lovely collection!

For my card today I stamped and coloured the piggies with Copic markers and used their coordinating dies to cut them out. They all look so cute, so I designed a farm party card to be able to use all of them.

I stamped a few balloons and party hats from the Fabulous frenchies stamp set and coloured them in greens and yellows to match the scene. I used their coordinating dies to cut them out too.

Then I die cut a white fence with the new Fence die and also some grass with the Land border dies. I chose a cloudy patterned paper (Doodlebug designs) as my background and started to layer the elements. I adhered everything flat except for the little piggie in the middle which I popped up with 3D foam squares.

The sentiment I stamped on a die cut speech bubble, it fits perfectly and looks so cool!

As a finishing touch I used a clear shimmer pen and glossy accents on the balloons, ribbon and candles and emphasized the eyes with a black glaze pen and a white gel pen.
