Newton’s Nook Designs April Release – Day 2

Hello Everyone,

Today is the second day of the fun April Release from Newton’s Nook Designs! And the farm theme continues with another adorable stamp/die set called Cluck.

For my card I stamped and coloured all the images with Copic markers and cut them out with the coordinating dies.

I also cut a Peekaboo Backdrop (Lawn Fawn) from No. 2 pencil cardstock (Lawn Fawn too) 3 times and stacked them together. I backed it with a fun chicken wire patterned paper (Doodlebug Designs) and arranged the images in the windows.

I left the bottom right corner empty to stamp a few sentiments in black and dark red. I am going crazy for the sentiments in this set, they are super funny!

I also die cut a speech bubble from a matching cardstock, stamped the funniest sentiment of the whole set on it and adhered it right above the talking hens. I love to make funny cards.

As a finishing touch I added drops of glossy accents and made the birds’ eyes shiny with a black glaze pen.

  1. I love how you created a little hen house using the frame die and how you have the trio of hens gossiping with the speech bubble! Seriously cute!
