Enjoy the little things – Newton’s Nook Designs

Hello Everyone,

There is nothing compared to the first sip of coffee on a spring day in the first rays of sunshine! This special moment (and my craving for coffee during Ramadan, hahaha) inspired my card for Newton’s Nook Designs.

I was flipping through my stamps when I came across the Little Lilies stamp and die set and realized that I have never used them before. I imagined a scene with the little bunny from the Bitty Bunnies set sitting under the lily and enjoying the smell of coffee. The mug I took from the Newton Loves Coffee stamp set. I coloured all images with Copic markers and used the coordinating dies to cut them out.

To set the scene I sponged some Squeezed Lemonade Distress Oxide ink on a white top folding notecard and applied Mustard Seed Distress Oxide ink through the Sunscape stencil. Before removing the stencil, I spritzed it with Tsukineko Shimmer Spritz for a subtle sparkle.

I die cut a piece of grass with a Land border die and adhered a piece of patterned paper (Sunny Studio) under it.

I stamped the sentiment in the upper right corner with black ink and arranged the images.

This time I kept the card flat and added only a few butterflies (from the Bitty Bunnies stamp set) and drops of glossy accents on their bodies and the mug as embellishment.

I will link this project up to the Spring/Summer Coffee Lovers Blog Hop and to the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge (For a special lady).

I hope you enjoyed my project for today and will pop in again soon for more inspiration!

See you,
