Rainbow flowers with Newtons Nook Designs

Hello Everyone,

I am back today with a very colourful floral card created with the Dainty Daisies stamp set from the latest release at Newton’s Nook Designs.

If you follow me you know that I am a real rainbow girl. I love bright colours, they cheer me up. And the other day when it was all rainy and gloomy here, I imagined myself on a field of rainbow coloured daisies…and it made me smile! I just had to make a card like that!

I started with a piece of Bristol Smooth cardstock and stamped the daisies in the middle first. Then I created a mask from masking paper, covered the first daisies an stamped again. I repeated this until the panel was full.

I used Altenew watercolor markers to add colour to the petals and leaves. To get the shading I like I used a Tonic Aqua Shimmer pen to pull the colour from the middle of each petal.

When it was all dry, I stamped the sentiment on the top with black ink and die cut the panel with the postage frame die from the Frameworks set. I gave it a thin black mat and mounted it on a light grey card base.

I did not want to take the attention away from the pretty flowers so I used only a drop of glossy accents on the middle of each daisy. I love the raised shiny look I got this way!

Did you know that Newton’s Nook Designs have their own challenges? The current Inky Paws Challenge is all about rainbows. Hope you play along!

If you enjoyed my card today, please subscribe not to miss any of my posts. See you soon with more fun projects,

Zsofi
