Let’s make memories – Pink and Main

Hello Everyone,

I am back today with a clean and simple card for your best travel buddy made with some stamps and dies from Pink and Main. Be it your better half or a friend, this design will suit anyone. Such a nice way to say hi before a trip.

I started with stamping some of the smaller images from the Travel buddy stamp set, coloured them with Copic markers and cut them out with the coordinating dies.

I cut a strip of white cardstock to be 2,25*5,5 inches, stamped 2 of the sentiments from the set with brown ink and matted it first with a tiny wider aqua cardstock and then with dark brown. I love the layered look, so easy yet still effective!

For the background I chose a very summery wooden plank patterned paper from the gorgeous new The shore paper pad and adhered it to an A2 white card base.

I assembled the card using 3D foam squares to mount the coloured images. As a finishing touch I added glossy accents here and there and scattered some aqua jewels all around.

I hope you got inspired to use the smaller images from your stamp sets to create fun cards with! Until next time, happy crafting!

Aquarium shaped card – Pink and Main

Hello Everyone,

I am here today with a fun aquarium shaped card. I love big dies like the one in the Fintastic die set from Pink and Main which allows me to go creative and make shaped cards. So unique!

I started with making my card base. I had a top folding white notecard and just placed the aquarium die on it with the top hanging off the folded part tiny so it does not cut through. I had to run it through my die cutting machine a few times to cut 2 layers of heavy weight cardstock.

Then I stamped the images from the Fintastic stamp set and coloured it with Copic markers. I used the coordinating dies to cut them out and arranged my little scene. Before adhering the images to the aquarium, I used a clear shimmer pen to add some sparkle to the water.

I stamped a sentiment from the set on the top using black ink and adhered the scene to the card base.

As a finishing touch I used a Copic blender pen to add some dots to the water and made the same with a white gelly roll pen too.

I added some white highlights to the images and used glossy accents on the pearl, the fins and the wave. I finished the mini card with 3 iridescent bubbles from Studio Katia.

I hope you like today’s inspiration and you will give it a try. Until next time, happy crafting!

Beary great day! – LDRS Creative

Hello Everyone,

I have a beary sweet card for you today which I have made with goodies form the latest release at LDRS Creative.

I started with die cutting a rounded rectangle from alcohol ink friendly cardstock using the new Scalloped Rectangle die set.

With a bit of masking I created a little scene with the Beary Great Day stamp set. I stamped the honey mug with Raven Hybrid ink first, covered it with a mask I made with masking paper. Then I stamped the wooden spoon, covered it with a mask again and finally stamped the bear himself and the bees. I coloured the focal panel with Copic markers. I love how big the bear is, totally fills the panel!

There are so many dies in the Scalloped Rectangle die set, I wanted to use them for a layered look. So I die cut the scalloped rectangle from green cardstock and the fancy rectangle from dark brown. I layered them under the coloured panel and adhered it all to a yellow patterned paper I chose from the Puddle Jumper paper pad.

I did not leave space for the sentiment, but no worries! The die set had a tiny die which was a perfect base for the words I wanted to use. I die cut it first from kraft cardstock and then stamped the sentiment using Coffee Bean Hybrid ink.

As a finishing touch I added some glossy accents to the nose of the bear and the honey spilling out of the mug. I also covered the wings of the bees with a clear shimmer pen for a subtle sparkle.

I hope you like my card and will pop in again soon,

Cat and dog lovers’ birthday – Newton’s Nook Designs

Hello Everyone,

It is my turn on the Newton’s Nook Designs blog and I created 2 adorable birthday cards for today which are perfect for either cat or dog lovers. mixed and matched older and brand new products from the latest release.

First I played with the new Meow and Woof stencils: I applied distress oxide inks through the stencils making sure not to cover the full card panel.

Before removing the stencils I added some Transparent Gloss Texture Paste from Ranger.

For the cat card I used Candied Appple, Spiced Marmalade and Mustard Seed inks, for the dog card I used Blueprint Sketch, Mermaid Lagoon and Peacock Feathers inks.

I washed the stencils immediately after use and set the backgrounds aside to dry.

Meanwhile I stamped and coloured some images from the Sending Hugs stamp set using Copic markers. I also stamped the balloon from Fabulous Frenchies and used the coordinating dies to cut them all out. I am still amazed how thoughtful it is that the coordinating dies for the Sending Hugs critters cut around the paws so they can hold anything there!

I die cut some cross stitched circles (MFT dies) from yellow and aqua cardstocks and matted them with a slightly bigger die cut vellum circle (SSS die set).

I arranged the images on the circles and popped up the dog an the kitty with 3D foam squares. I also stamped the sentiments around the images using colourful inks (Gina K Designs).

I added a dark red and blue violet cardstock mat to the dry backgrounds, adhered the focal panels and finished the cards with some sparkle pen dots on the cupcakes and glossy accents on the balloons, ribbon and the heart.

I hope you enjoyed today’s inspiration and will check back tomorrow for more fun!

See you,

Zsofi
