Newton’s Nook Designs Mini Release

Hello Everyone,

I am super excited to share with you my inspiration for the September Mini Release at Newton’s Nook Designs. There is a small sunflower stamp set with its coordinating die and a gorgeous stencil available RIGHT NOW!

For my card I stamped the sunflower with brown hybrid ink and coloured it using Copic markers. I cut it out with the coordinating die and cut another 3 from scrap white cardstock to give it a lot of dimension when stacked together.

I kept the card simple, on a 4 bar card I adhered a green gingham patterned paper (Lawn Fawn). I wrapped yellow twine on the stems of the sunflower and tied it in a bow. I adhered it to a wide strip of kraft cardtsock and matted it with dark brown cardstock.

The sentiment I stamped with the same brown hybrid ink on top and assembled the card.

I skipped using embellishments but I added a thick layer of Ranger Multi MAtte Medium in the middle of each flower and poured brown mini prills on them.

It gives it a gorgeous texture! It is so beautiful in real life!
