Boo – Be very afraid!

World Cardmaking Day was a week ago and I did manage to make 2 cards but never had the chance to share them. I was playing with my Hello Bluebird stamps to create this Halloween cutie.

I started with stamping and colouring the images from the Halloween Party and Banner Buddies stamp sets. I used COpic markers to add colour and cut them out with their coordinating dies.

The sentiment I die cut from green glitter cardstock using the Oliver Alpha die set and adhered it on a black banner which I created with the Banner buddies stamp set and Vertical banners die. Under it I white heat embossed another sentiment from the Halloween Party stamp set.

To hang the banner I die cut the bar from black cardstock 2 times, adhered them together and coated it with Versamark ink. Then I poured silver embossing powder on it and heat set it. I repeated the process once more for a smooth look. The background is from an MFT patterned paper set, I just added some grey ink splatters to it.

I die cut grass from grey cardstock using the Pond builder die set and adhered the images in place using 3D foam squares. I hid the naughty squirrel behind the banner and added a few green jewels as if he was dropping them in the cauldron. I am giddy over this little joke!

As a finishing touch I added some white gel pen highlights and used a black glaze pen to make the eyes of the critters shiny. A little glossy accent finished it off.

I will upload this card to the following challenges: Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge (Fall/Autumn) and the Simon Says Stamp IG Challenge (Favourite technique – metallic embellishments).

Hope you enjoyed my card and will pop in again tomorrow for more fun!

See you,

Zsofi
