Deer friends – Newton’s Nook Designs

Hello Everyone,

I am here today with a cute holiday card created with the latest release of Newton’s Nook Designs. I am fond of the woodland critters series and I am so happy that there is a winter edition now.

I stamped and coloured the snowy friends from the Festive Fawns stamp set using Copic markers. I used the coordinating die to cut it out.

While I was at it I also die cut a stitched square panel from blue cardstock and from white glitter paper using the Frames Squared die set. I cut the scalloped square from purple cardstock and some pine trees from dark green using the Forest Scene builder set.

Before assembling the scene I used a Versamark pen on the hat of the snowman and on the trees and poured WOW White Puff embossing powder on it. I heat set it with my heat gun, I love the texture it gives!

I also added a white metallic cardstock layer in between the scene and the purple mat. I can never have enough layers I guess 🙂

The sentiment I stamped in purple on a subtle checked patterned paper from Sunny Studio and added the focal panel too.

A bit of clear shimmer on the scarf and hat plus a bit of glossy accents finished it off.

I hope you enjoyed my card today and will check back later for a not typical coffee card! See you in a few hours!

Falala – Hello Bluebird

Hello Everyone,

I love the Fall/Winter Coffee Lovers Blog Hop so much that I cannot stop creating coffee cards. I also try to stick to colouring every day a little bit, as therapy advised by the gorgeous Kathy Racoosin. Today’s cuties are from Hello Bluebird, one of my favourite companies.

I started with stamping and colouring some of the images from the Skating party stamp set. I used Copic markers in vibrant colours. I cut everything out with the coordinating dies.

Then I worked on the background: I heat embossed the Snowfall background stamp with WOW white puff embossing powder on a kraft top folding card base. To make it colder I sponged white pigment ink on the edges of the card base – I feel the instant breeze!

To set the scene I created a snowbank from white cardstock using the Land Border dies from Newton’s Nook Designs and I also die cut a couple of pine branches (Holly and Pin die set) from the same white cardstock. I used Pine Needles Distress ink to add colour.

The sentiment is die cut 2 times from white cardstock and once from blue glitter cardstock. I stacked them together and added a white heat embossed sentiment under it.

As a finishing touch I used a black glaze pen on their eyes, a clear shimmer pen on the caps and glossy accents on the noses and cups.

I will link this project also to the SSS IG challenge (Happy Holidays) and to the SSS Wednesday Challenge Anything goes.

I hope you enjoyed today’s inspiration and will join me tomorrow again.

See you,

Coffee Lovers Blog Hop – Heffy Doodle

Hello Everyone,

I am back today with my second card for the Fall/Winter Coffee Lovers blog hop. This time I used an exclusive stamp set designed by Heffy Doodle for the Simon Says Stamp STAMPTEMBER event last year.

I stamped and coloured the images from the More than S’mores set with Copic markers and fussy cut them out. I also stamped the sentiment on white cardstock and used a dotted circle die from Lawn Fawn to cut it out.

I chose a warm plaid patterned paper from Lawn Fawn as the background but I cut it tiny smaller than an A2 sized card front so I could have a dark brown mat under it.

I die cut a couple of leaves with the Newton’s Nook Designs Autumn Leaves die set from brown and yellow cardstock scraps. As I did not find a matching orange, I cut the largest leaf from white cardstock and used my orange copic to add the perfect colour to it.

After die cutting a thin strip of mustard grass I assembled the scene using 3D foam squares under the cute critters. I popped up the circle with 3D foam squares too so it has a really nice, dimensional look.

I added some white gel pen highlights and some black glaze pen to the eyes. I also used my clear shimmer pen on the coffee cups and added drops of glossy accents on the noses, lids, hearts and the sentiment too. So cozy!

I will link this project up to the Heffy Doodle FB Challenge (Autumn) too. I wish you liked my project today and will return tomorrow for more fun!

See you soon,

Coffee Lovers Blog Hop – Pink and Main

Hello Everyone,

Today is the first day of the Fall/Winter Coffee Lovers Blog Hop and I am honored to present you my first coffee card I created for the Pink and Main blog today.

I love the Christmas mugs stamp set and designed a simple card pairing it with the Sweater Weather paper pad. I wanted a soft and cozy look for my images so I stamped them with Lawn Fawn River Rock ink. I coloured them with Copic markers using teal and pink shades. I used the coordinating dies to cut them out.

I heat embossed the sentiment with Silver Sparkle embossing powder on a strip of aqua cardstock which I matted with dark grey.

The pretty knit patterned paper I cut down with the largest from the Stitched Rectangle 2 die set and assembled the card on a white card base. The mug and candies I popped up with 3D foam squares. As a finishing touch I added a ton of clear shimmer and a bit of glossy accents.

I hope you got inspired to participate in the Coffee Lovers event during the next week. There are a ton of prizes to win among which is a 25$ prize package from Pink and Main! YAY! Winner announced on the P&M Blog on November 9th! Happy crafting!
