I am so happy to be back with my second coffee themed card as a guest designer on the Coffee Loving Cardmakers blog this month.
I have got my Hello Bluebird order recently and I could not wait to ink up the Cocoa party critters. Aren’t they just simply adorable? I cannot have enough of them (I stamped 3 sets at once, so I will definitely make more cards soon). I used Copic markers to add colour and cut them out with the coordinating dies.
I wanted a simple wintery background so I white heat embossed the Hello Bluebird Falling Snow background stamp on Audrey Blue cardstock from Simon Says Stamp. I cut the panel with a stitched rectangle die and added a bit of white pigment ink on the edges. I love this soft look, makes it more chilly for me.
I cut a snowbank from white glitter cardstock using the Sea borders die from Newton’s Nook Designs. It makes the perfect little hills! I assembled the scene and popped up the critters with 3D foam squares.
The sentiment is the Warm Wishes word die from Hello Bluebird, I cut it 2 times from white cardstock and once from MFT Sunset glitter cardstock. I layered them on top of each other and added a white heat embossed sentiment on top of it which I fussy cut with my scissors.
I used Blue Violet cardstock as a mat on the scene and adhered it to a white top folding notecard. A little glossy accents on the cups and noses finished it off.
I hope you like this cheerful party and it warms you up even if you are having the winter chill at your place. Thanks so much for stopping by and see you next week with more coffee themed inspiration!
