Coffee party – Coffee Loving Cardmakers Guestie

Hello Everyone,

It is Friday and it means not only that the weekend is close but also that I have a new coffee card for you as the January Guest Designer at the Coffee Loving Cardmakers blog.

From time to time I am in the mood to die cut things, it relaxes me to put some music and just cut, cut and cut. So for today I brought you an almost totally die cut coffee card.

I cut all the elements of the MFT Coffee All Day die set from heavy weight white cardstock and added some Distress Oxide inks to them with a blending brush. I used Walnut stain and Ground Espresso for the cup itself and the edge of the foam, Tumbled glass for the cover and Picked Raspberry on the straw. I added some ink and water sprinkles for the texture.

I cut the cup cover from vellum, and assembled the whole thing. It looks so cute on its own but i adorned it with some pink twine from Doodlebug and a Tim Holtz Snowflake charm.

The sentiment is a Simon Says Stamp die, cut from white cardstock and I ink blended the letters with Picked Raspberry ink to match the straw. In this way I did not have to look for the matching cardstock.

All I needed at this point was a pretty wintery background. I decided to heat emboss the Outline Snowflakes background stamp from Simon Says Stamp on Bristol Smooth cardstock, I used Satin Pearl embossing powder which gives a very delicate pearly finish. Then I ink blended it with Salty Ocean Distress Oxide ink and used a clear shimmer pen on the snowflakes to add some sparkle.

When it was dry I die cut it with a stitched rectangle die, adhered the sentiment and popped up the coffee cup with 3D foam squares.

I hope you like this cozy „let’s have a coffee party” card and will check back next week for my last post.

Hugs,

Zsofi
