I am here with you today with a paper pieced floral card I made for Pink and Main. In the time of quarantine, it is so relaxing to spend time with playing puzzles. What is better than that is combining puzzles with crafting.
I die cut the Floral corners from green sparkle sheet first and another piece from white cardstock. The white one I left in the die and with the help of Press’n Seal I kept the small pieces in their places and used a couple of Copic markers to add colour to them.
On a white top folding notecard I sponged a bit of Tumbled glass Distress ink over the Petite petals stencil. Then using liquid glue I added the green floral outline and filled the inside with the coloured pieces. It took a while but I love playing puzzles. It was so relaxing.
I am back today with 2 heat embossed flower cards made with the new release from Pink and Main. I wanted to show you that the same design can result in a very different look depending on the technique you use. ALERT: both cards are super easy and quick, can be done with kids also!
Note: due to the Corona virus threat and lockdown, Pink and Main has postponed the new release a little. But don’t worry, the stamp I used will be available soon!
CARD 1
I white heat embossed the pretty Wildflower on Bristol Smooth cardstock along with the sentiment.
Then I simply scribbled some Tombow markers on the cardstock at a diagonal angle. I used a rainbow order, but you can use any colours you prefer. Then I took a simple baby wipe and gently rubbed it over the coloured panel. It smooshes the ink a little bit, giving it a very textured but smooth look. Isn’t it gorgeous?
I went back with the same markers on the flower parts, to make them stand out more and used a clear shimmer pen to add a little sparkle to the petals.
I cut the panel with a stitched rectangle die and added a slightly bigger black mat to it before adhering it to a white top folding note card. I white heat embossed the rest of the sentiment on a thin piece of black cardstock and finished the card with a couple of iridescent jewels.
CARD 2
On the second card I black heat embossed the same image and sentiment and coloured it quickly with Tombow markers. I added a little colour next to the outlines and pulled it out with a lighter shade. I added a blue halo around the flower to make it pop.
The sentiment is again heat embossed on a thin strip of black cardstock. So easy and fast!
I die cut the panel with a stitched rectangle die and added a slightly bigger blue mat to it before adhering it to a white top folding note card. I embellished the card with iridescent jewels.

Welcome to another edition of my Perfect Combos series for Heffy Doodle. With this crazy virus threat and quarantine we all need to show more love and appreciation. When creating this card, I was thinking of my 9 years old daughter, who is separated from her friends now, studying every day (homeschooling is not easy for the kids either) while she sees her smaller brother playing all day. I wanted to cheer her up and tell her how much I love her. So I chose the My angel stamp set with a couple of stand alone dies and a stencil which combined together make the perfect heavenly scene. Let’s get to the details!
First I stamped the angels and the musical instruments with black ink which is alcohol marker friendly. Then I used my Copics to add colour. The wings I kept light purple, the dresses white with some grey shadows. I wanted their hair to look a bit golden so I chose light brown markers. I love how the turned out! I used the coordinating dies to cut them all out. Almost all angels have a cut-line around their hands, so it is so easy to tuck the instruments in there!
For the background I sponged Squeezed lemonade Distress Oxide ink on Bristol Smooth cardstock. Then I placed the Rays the roof stencil over it and added Mustard Seed Distress Oxide ink. Before removing the stencil I sprayed it with a shimmer spritz for a subtle sparkle.
Then I created the clouds: I die cut 2 of the Silver lining cloud border dies from white cardstock and also from gold sparkle cardstock. I layered them on top of each other tiny offset so the clouds look like they are lit by the sun. On the smaller cloud border I stamped a sentiment from the My angel set.
And then the idea stroke my mind: why not to add the golden halo to the angels too? So I used the coordinating dies and cut the golden angels, layered them under the coloured ones a bit offset. They look gorgeous, don’t you think?
I assembled the card using thin 3D foam sqaures under the angels to get more dimension. I die cut the word “my” an “angel” from black and gold sparkle cardstocks and added them to the scene.
As a finishing touch I stamped a couple of music notes all around. I also used glossy accents on the musical instruments.

Today I have some exciting news as I am honoured to be guest designing for Paper Nest Dolls. Christine was so kind to send me the cute Valentine Racoons stamp set and I have created my first card with these adorable critters.
I started with stamping and colouring the kissing couple using Cpipc markers. I stayed within the Warm Greys, just used a little bit of R20 for the cheeks. The little ribbon I coloured vivid pink to match the patterned paper I chose from the Doodlebug Love Notes paper pad. I used my scissors to fussy cut them out.
I wanted a little scene for them so I used a bunch of Lawn Fawn dies to pull it together. I die cut the Stitched cloudy backdrop from light blue cardstock. I cut the grassy hillside borders from a bright green scrap piece and I cut several white frames using the Stitched scallop rectangle frame dies to create dimension.
The sentiment is also die cut from dark grey cardstock using the Scripty I love you die.
I assembled the scene and mounted it on the patterned paper. I used thin 3D foam squares to pop up the racoons in between the grass layers. As a finishing touch I added glossy accents to the ribbon and the noses. Isn’t it a cheeful little scene? Perfect for Spring and in these difficult days it is so good to tell our beloved ones how much we love them!

I am back today with a sneak peek at a fun new stamp set coming on the 20th March from Pink and Main. Meerkats is so versatile and unique! And it has lovely sentiments!
I started with stamping one of the meerkats in the middle of an A2 sized piece of white cardstock. I used my stamp positioner and moved the paper slightly to one direction so I could stamp the meerkat once more. I repeated it till the panel was full of this cute critter. Then I used my Copics to add colour to them. I chose warm grey markers for most, and coloured one of them purple. I stamped the sentiment above it and cut an inch off the top.
I also cut an inch wide strip of patterned paper (Frosty paper pad) and adhered both panels to a top folding note card. I added a thin strip of purple Sparkle sheet under the meerkats.
I finished it off with adding glossy accents to their noses and emphasized their eyes with a black glaze pen. In the middle I also added a dot with a white gel pen.
I really like the message of this card with the Corona virus threat around us. Our lives are going to be so different for a couple of months and we really need to be disciplined and stay at home as much as possible. Even if others don’t. Because this is how we can save others and protect ourselves. Take care and craft more. Hugs to all of you,

CARD 1
Hedgehog Hollow is one of my favourite sets among the retiring one. It is also because both my kids were in the Hedgehog group in KG, so these cuties are close to my heart.
I started with stamping the images coloured them with alcohol markers. Then I used the Hedgehog Hollow Die Set to cut them out.
To set the scene I used the Frames Squared Die Set to create a scallop edged square from Bristol Smooth cardstock and masked off the scallop part before ink blending Salty ocean Distress ink with a big blending brush. I added grass using the Land Borders Die Set along the bottom edge.
To make the scene complete I added the sun and clouds using the Sky Scene Builders Die Set. The sentiment perfectly fits under the clouds, so it was easy to incorporate it in the scene.
I adhered the panel to a top folding square kraft notecard (4.25×4.25 inches) and finished it off with yellow twine.
Of course I had to add clear shimmer to the sun and glossy accents to the ladybugs, the nose of the hedgies and the decoration on the cup.
CARD 2
For my second card I decided to feature a set I have never used before: Wedding Frills. It has beautiful lacy images, perfect for weddings!
I started with embossing the pretty medallion image with rose gold embossing powder and added the “happily ever after” sentiment in the center. As I did not have the coordinating die I fussy cut the image but I really need to get the dies to make my life easier 🙂
For the background I embossed the lacy floral stamp from the same set in white 2 times and sponged Picked Raspberry and Spun Sugar Distress inks over it. I also added Picked raspberry ink and rose gold paint splatters for the texture. I used a stitched rectangle die to cut it down and matted it with dark pink cardstock.
I popped up the focal panel with 3D foam squares and added some gold jewels to the background.

I am back today with another adorable card, this time to celebrate a birthday girl. All goodies I used are from Pink and Main.
I started with colouring the cute elephants and accessories from the Ears to you stamp set. I used Copic markers and cut them all out with the coordinating dies.
For the background I chose a polka dot paper from the Enchanted garden paper pad and assembled the scene. The elephants and the sentiment is popped up with thin 3D foam tape for more dimension.
I also added a thin pink banner with the birthday wishes stamped on it from the Hello Sweet stamp set. I could not resist adding clear shimmer to the balloons and glossy accents to the hearts on the letters and balloons too.

Iam back today with another edition of my Perfect Combos series for Heffy Doodle. As we are all waiting for Spring to arrive and need to be distracted from real life problems, I brought you some cheerful ducks today. This jolly little card mixes some older stamps with newly released stencils and dies. Let’s dive in the details!
First I stamped the ducks, the puddle and the umbrella from the Quack me up stamp set with black ink and coloured them with my Copic markers. I also stamped some clouds with Lawn Fawn River Rock ink which is alcohol marker friendly. And the sun with a yellow toned one from Gina K Designs. Then I used my grey and yellow Copics to bring these images to life. I love how soft it looks with the colourful outline! I used the coordinating dies to cut them all out.
I placed the Circle maskerade stencil on a white Imperial Stitched Rectangle using the engraved guide to center it. It is so easy! I used Heffy Memo tape to secure it temporarely to my cardstock. Then with a big blending brush I lightly sponged some Salty Ocean Distress ink. Without removing the masking stencil I layered the Cloudy sky stencil over it and gently created the cloud layers with Faded Jeans Distress ink.
I adhered the two circle frames around the sky and popped up the images. I also added a few Raining rhinestones from Trinity stamps as raindrops and covered the umbrella with glossy accents. I made the puddle sparkly with a clear shimmer pen.
At this point only the sentiment was missing. I die cut the “I love you sentiment” from the 2 blue shades of cardstock and stamped the word Sunshine under it from the Quack me up stamp set using yellow ink. I did not want to cut apart my stamps – I am always scared to do that – so I simply masked off the “unnecessary part” with masking tape, inked up the stamp, removed the mask and stamped it on the card. I love custom sentiments so much!

I am back today with a cute Easte scene featuring the latest release from Newton’s Nook Designs.
I started with stamping and colouring the bunnies from the adorable Hop to Spring stamp set. I used Copic markers and cut them all out with their coordinating dies.
While I was at die cutting I cut my scene building elements too: grass from green cardstock using the Land border die, a fence from kraft cardstock using the Fence die, some white clouds and a yellow sun using the Sky scene builder die set.
I assembled the scene on a blue piece of cardstock and cut it down a little to allow a white frame showing when adhered to the card base. The sentiment perfectly fit one of the clouds, so it became a part of the scene.
As a finishing touch I added some white dots to the cheeks of the bunnies with a white gel pen and covered the eggs with a clear shimmer pen to add a subtle sparkle. I made the bow and ribbon shiny with glossy accents, just as the little noses of the bunnies. Aren’t they cute?

I had this idea playing in my head for the Lawnfawnatics Challenge #71 and I am super happy that I found some extra crafting time to make it.
I admit I am a hoarder. I love mini things and have a bunch of mini buttons from Doodlebug Designs. This is what I brought back on my card:
I started with stamping and colouring the images from the following sets: Some bunny, Eggstra Amazing Easter, Gleeful Gardens. I used Copic markers, all warm tones and cut everything out with the coordinating dies.
Then I took a piece of Watercolor Wishes paper in blue shade and made my Stitched Cloud Backdrop from that. From a green piece I cut two Grassy Hillside Borders and stamped a sentiment on the smaller one with black ink.
While I was die cutting I cut the different elements of the Little Flowers die set from coloured cardstock. I am so happy I found scraps which match my green and yellow Copics! Little pleasures 🙂 I assembled the pot, tied some green twine around it and added 3 tiny bottons as the flower centers.
Next I die cut the word Friends from white cardstock 2 times using the Cole’s ABCs and once more from glossy white cardstock. I layered them on top of each other for a dimensional look and assembled the card.
As a finishing touch I used my black glaze pen on the eyes and added drops of glossy accents to the noses and beaks. Also cover the handle of the shovel and the watering can with clear gloss to make it shiny.
