I brought a very cute and cheerful birthday card today to make you smile! It was created for the current Lawnfawnaticcs Challenge #73 – Birthday.
I am sure you all have a favourite stamp set which inspires you all the time you look at it. For me the mini Lawn Fawn Year Four set is one like that. That hippo is so chubby and adorable and his little birdie pal always bring a smile to my face. This time I paired them with few more critters from Year Two and Elphie Selfie. All images I coloured with Copic markers and cut them out with their coordinating dies.
To create the scene I die cut the Peekaboo Backdrop from yellow cardstock and popped it up on a piece of patterned paper from Hello Sunshine Remix paper pad.
I also cut some grassy borders from green cardstock and used the little flags die from an older set called Stitched journaling to make a banner from pastel colours.
I popped up the critters with 3D foam squares. I took some time to arragne the scene, I really enjoy this part of cardmaking. The sentiment I white heat embossed on a thin strip of dark grey cardstock and adhered it to the frame.
As a finishing touch I added clear shimmer to the balloons and covered the beaks, flower centers and candles with glossy accents.
I will also upload this to the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge Happy Birthday and the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Spring Mood Board.
I hope this cute little card made you smile and cheered you up. If so, it makes my day. See you soon with more fun projects!
