Newton’s Nook Designs June Release – DAY 1

Hello Everyone,

I am super excited to share with you the first sneak peeks at the gorgeous new products Newton’s Nook Designs have in their June release. Today our team showcases the Farming fun stamp/die set along with 2 new Slimline die sets: Slimline Frames and Portholes and Slimline Frames and Windows! All new products will be available on Friday 19th June 2020!

CARD 1

As always I started stamping and colouring the vehicled from the Farming fun set using my Copic markers. I kept the colour scheme simple and only used greens, yellows and of course some neutral greys. I cut them all with their coordinating dies.

Then I die cut the new Slimline Frames and Windows die from heavy weight white cardstock and used the inner little squares for my vehicles. Before popping them up on the white squares I lightly sponged a little Salty Ocean Distress Oxide ink in the middle of the squares to ake the images pop even more!

For the background I chose a pretty plaid patterned paper (Lawn Fawn) and arranged the 3 squares on it tiny overlapping. I also stamped 3 sentiments with black ink.

I could not help adding a bit of glossy accents to the wheels, seats and steering wheels. I love when certain part of the images are shiny and dimensional.

CARD 2

For this clean and simple card I used the new Slimline Frames and Portholes die set.

I die cut the scalloped rectangle from patterned paper (Lawn Fawn) and the inner piece from heavy weight white cardstock. The portholes I popped up with 3D foam squares to add dimension.

I also cut the little butterflies from the same die set from heavy weight vellum 4 times and layered 2 on top of each other. I used liquid glue to adhere them and added a drop of glue only in the middle so the wings can “fly”.

In the middle window I white heat embossed a sentment from the Thankful thoughts stamp set.

As a finishing touch I added some enamel dots to the bodies of the butterflies in coordinating colours.
