Newton’s Nook Designs August Release – Day 2

Hello Everyone,

It is the second day of the August Release Reveals at Newton’s Nook Designs! We continue with the Fall theme, showcasing Paw-tumn Newton stamp/die set, the Fall Roundabout and a great new sentiment set called Heartfelt wishes which coordinates perfectly with the previously released Banner Trio die set (my card with this set I showed you yesterday).

All new products will be available on Friday 21/08!

CARD 1

I started with stamping and colouring the images from the Paw-tumn Newton stamp set. I stamped extra leaves and pumpkins to fill the sceen. I coloured everything with my Copic markers and cut them out with their coordinating dies.

If you follow me you know how much I love Doodlebug Designs’ patterned paper, I have agreat collection despite the fact that I am using up my stash. I chose patterned papers from Flea Market and Fall Friends for this card and cut them out with the scalloped rectangle and rouded rectangle dies from Frames and Flags.

While I was die cutting I cut some grass with the Land border dies and also a stitched banner using the Banner Trio die set from coloured cardstock to hold the sentiment.

After assembling the card on a kraft A2 sized card base I added glossy accens to the center of the sunflowers, the ribbon and the pumpkin stems. I love the shine!

CARD 2

For my second card I gold heat embossed the Fall roundabout stamp on kraft cardstock twice and coloured the images with a very simple coloured pencil, nothing fancy.

Then I used the Slimline Frames and Windows die to cut stitched squares from the coloured images. I also cut a plain stitched square from kraft and gold heat embossed two of the sentiments on it. I used Gathered Twigs Distress Oxide ink to distress the edges a bit, it gives a soft and warm feel to the panels.

I cut the frame 3 times from olive cardstock and also the scalloped slimline rectangle from brown (Slimline Frames and portholes die set) and assembled the card on a kraft card base (3,5*8,5 inches). I finished the card with tiny gold sequins and a bunch of clear gems.
