Perfect Combos with only die cuts – Heffy Doodle

Hello Everyone,

Welcome to another edition of my Perfect Combos series fro Heffy Doodle. Summer is clearly ending with the school start, we can all feel it in the air: days are shorter, evenings are chilly. Even just thinking of the busy autumn days I miss the summer vacation time already. This feeling inspired my card for today, which I created only using dies from the latest and older releases from Heffy Doodle.

I started with die cutting the Build a Cabin die set using white, nvy and red cardstocks. I enjoyed assembling it, there are so many options! I die cut the anchor and the handle from silver metallic cardstock (perfect for using up your scraps).

I also die cut a bunch of leaves using the Amazonian leaves die set. To have a variation, I used 3 shades of green cardstock. I die cut a Skinny Rectangle Frame 4 times and layered them on top of each other. I also cut waves and sand from blue and kraft cardstock witht he help of the Breaking Waves die set.

I assembled the scene on a light blue mat starting with the frame, then the background. I used thin 3D foam squares to pop up the beach house and finished it with adhering the leaves. The sentiment is cut with the Miss you Heffy Cuts set: white for the shadow and 3 times the ‘miss you’ in red for more dimension.

Before adhering the panel on a white card base I added 3 thin strips of navy cardstock in the middle, it makes the focal image pop even more.

As a finishing touch I added glossy accents to the heart and the life saver. It looks so cool!

I hope you enjoyed today’s card and will try creating one with die cuts only too! Don’t forget to share your creations in our Heffy Doodlers FB Group, we love to see what you come up with!
