Hello Everyone,
Here is my second entry for the MFT Card Design Superstar Contest this year, for the Coloring Viruoso category. I was thinking a lot which medium to choose but in the end I stayed with my beloved Copic markers and Distress Oxides and created a Fall scene.
I stamped and coloured the images from Fall Friends and used the coordinating dies to cut them out. I wanted to give as much texture to the images as possible with my markers, I love how they come to life!
For the background I cut a piece of Bristol Smooth cardstock slightly smaller than a slimline card. I used the Cloud and Grassy edges stencils with blending brushes and Distress Oxide inks to create a Fall sky. I added a lot of splatters: diluted ink, some black paint and liquid stardust also for a subtle sparkle.
When it was dry I stamped a sentiment in the middle in black and arranged the images. Some of them I popped up with 3D foam squares for more dimension.
I finished it off with drops of glossy accents on the pumpkin stems, the boots and buttons. I also used a black glaze pen on the eyes.
That was it from me for the contest. While I was scrolling through my stash I got a looooot of ideas which I will hopefully make and share soon. So stay tuned!
