Happy Halloween – Home decor

Hello Everyone,

Happy Halloween to all of you who celebrate and wishing you a fun filled day to all who don’t. I have a cute home decor project as my last one for this year with Halloween theme, created with goodies mostly from Lawn Fawn. Get ready for a picture heavy post!

I started with stamping the images from Fox Costumes Before ‘n After. I used Copic markers and cut them out with their coordinating dies.

For the background I cut a piece of Bristol Smooth cardstock which was the size of the frame and applied Spiced Marmelade Distress Oxide ink with the Ergonomic Blender Brush from Pink and Main. Then I laid the Cloud stencil from Heffy Doodle over it and added Carved Pumpkin Distress Oxide ink. I finished it off with some diluted ink splatters and also added some white and black ones too.

For the castle I used the Lawn Fawn Brick stencil on Fog cardstock and using the Build-a-Castle die set I created the castle as shown on the pic. Some parts I cut from dark grey cardstock. While I was at die cutting I also cut the Spooky fence border, the Land border and a grassy hillside border all from black cardstock. For colour variation I sponged some white pigment ink on some of the layers before assembling the scene.

I popped up some of the images with 3D foam squares and some I adhered flat. I emphasized some details with glossy accents.

The sentiment is simply white heat embossed on thin strips of black cardstock.

It was my last card for the ‘Till Death Do Us Craft collaboration. It was a month long event with some other crafty girls to shared Halloween inspiration with you. If you want to see our projects, just use the #tilldeathdouscraft tag to search on social media.

Although Halloween is over here on my blog, I am gonna share more Fall and mostly Holiday craft ideas with you regularly, so make sure to subscribe not to miss any of my posts. I truly appreciate you support, thank you!

See you,

Halloween Ghost – MFT

Hello Everyone,

I know, Halloween is almost here but I could not help making another fun – and this time interactive – inspiration for you. I combined MFT stamps stencils and dies with a fun sentiment die from Simon Says Stamp.

I started with the background: on a piece of Bristol Smooth cardstock I applied Shaded Lilac Distress Oxide ink with the Ergonomic Blender Brush from Pink and Main. I believe it is the best tool ever: so quick and smooth to cover a entire card panel. I spritzed it with a bit of water for a more distressed look and dried it with my heat tool. Then I laid the MFT Wonky Dots stencil over i and applied Wilted Violet Distress Oxide ink. I added some purple, black and white splatters, dried them and spritzed the whole panel with Tsukineko Shimmer Spritz. It gave such a nice and subtle sparkle, lovely! I cut it down with the largest from the SSS Stitched Rectangle die set. I gave it a black mat before adhering it to a white card base.

I die cut the little ghost from MFT Hey Ghoul from white cardstock, added a little black scrap piece of paper to the back so the eyes and mouth shows black and copic coloured the little cheeks. I popped it up on the background with an action wobbler so it moves!

For the sentiment I die cut the SSS Outline Halloween die from Lime Green and black sparkle cardstocks and backed it with a vellum shadow. I stamped the rest of the sentiment from a Lawn Fawn set.

I hope you enjoyed this last minute Halloween cutie and make sure to come back tomorrow for my last Halloween project this year. To tease you a bit, it is gonna be a super cute home decor with Lawn Fawn 😉

See you,

Zsofi

Trick or Treat – Heffy Doodle

Hello Everyone.

Welcome to another edition of my Perfect Combos series for Heffy Doodle.

Halloween is just a few days away and I thought I would share with you a simple design which is perfect for last minute crafting. I used Heffy Doodle stamps, dies and some of the newly released Craft Room Essentials. Let’s get started!

I used the Star Swirl stencil on a light purple cardstock with Wilted Violet Distress Oxide ink. Then I rotated the stencil, masked off the middle star with Heffy Memo tape and applied Iridescent Glitz Glitter gel from Thermoweb with a spatula. I removed the stencil, washed it right away and set the panel aside to dry.

Meanwhile I stamped and coloured a few images from different Heffy Doodle stamp sets to create my own Frankenstein: the crocodile from Happy Snappy Crocs, the treat bag from Party Palooza, the screw from Bots of Love and finally a piece of grass from Big Bug Hugs. I used my Copic markers to colour them and cut everything out with their coordinating dies. This was the first time for me to try the new mini Heffy Doodle die cutting machine and it was so fun! It cuts perfectly and much easier to handle than my usual big die cutting machine when I am cutting small images.

While I was at die cutting I also cut the sentiment letters using the Stitched Alphabetters die set and black sparkle cardstock.

When the background was dry I cut it down a little and matted it with a black stitched rectangle. I adhered the letters a bit wonky and used the new 3D foam tape to pop up my Frankenstein costumed crocodile. Isn’t he a happy creature?

As a finishing touch I used a little glossy accents on the screw and the treat bag and my card was finished.

This card is also part of the ‘Till Death Do Us Craft collaboration. It is a month long event with some other crafty girls to share Halloween inspiration with you. If you want to see our projects, just use the #tilldeathdouscraft tag to search on social media.

I hope I made you smile with this cute card and inspired you. If you like my cards, please make sure to follow me on Instagram where I share my happy creations! Thank you!

Newton’s Nook Designs Holiday Release – Day 4

Hello Everyone,

It is always bittersweet when we reach the final day of the release reveals of Newton’s Nook Designs but I deeply wish you enjoyed the week with us. We have two more stamps to show you today: Holiday Post (which also has coordinating dies) and Christmas Roundabout which matches perfectly the previously released Circle Frames die set.

All new products will be available on 23rd Oct, 2020!

CARD 1

For my first card I stamped the image from Holiday Post Kitten Christmas on white cardstock and coloured them with Arteza coloured pencils. . I used the coordinating dies to cut it out.

To set a winter scene I cut some patterned paper (MFT) down with the rounded rectangle die from Frames and Flags. I also cut a white one and made it a snowbank with a Land border die. I popped up the die cut image on it using 3D foam squares an gave the panel a thin white mat.

I thought that the postage stamp rectangle die from Frameworks would match perfectly the theme so I cut it from green cardstock and adhered it to another piece of patterned paper. A lot of layers, just the way I love it!

The sentiment I white heat embossed on a purple banner (Frames an Flags die set) and adhered it to the top of the focal panel. I embellished it with a couple of enamel hearts from Doodlebug.

I finished it off with glossy accents and some stickles for a sparkling snow effect. I also added clear shimmer to the scarves and hats.

CARD 2

I love the Roundabout stamps and the new Christmas Roundabout is so playful. I black heat embossed it and painted it with Karin Brush markers.

When it was dry I die cut it with a circle die and gave it a slightly bigger green mat and another one from gold metallic cardstock.

For the background I chose a gold foiled patterned paper from Lawn Fawn and stamped a sentiment dierctly on it.

So simple yet still has a lot of shine and festivity.

Best witches – Hello Bluebird

Hello Dears,

This is my second post today, if you are looking for Newton’s Nook Designs Holiday Release – Day 3, just click on the link.

Having a little break from holiday cards I have a Halloween cutie for you as part of the ‘Till Death Do Us Craft collaboration. It is a month long event with some other crafty girls to share Halloween inspiration with you. If you want to see our projects, just use the #tilldeathdouscraft tag to search on social media.

I stamped the images from Hello Bluebird Tabitha and Frightful Little Bits on white cardstock and coloured them with my Copic markers. I used the coordinating dies to cut them all out.

Then I die cut the Oak Tree Scene die from white cardstoxk an once from black cardstock to have the frame. I addded colour to the scene with Distress Oxide inks and a blender brush: Gathered Twigs for the tree, Lucky Clover for the canopy, Chipped Zapphire and Shaded Lilac for the sky and Black Soot for the ground. I used diluted ink and a bit of Liquid Pixie Dust from Ink on3 to add texture.

I assembled the scene as shown on the picture and stamped a sentiment directly on the top with black ink. I love the Reverse Confetti Midnight ink for this, it is so crisp and so deep black.

As always, a bit of clear shimmer and glossy accents were needed to make the images pop and I also used my favourite black glaze pen to bring the pumpkins alive and make the eyes shiny.

I hope you enjoyed today’s Halloween inspiration and will visit again soon. If you like my cards, please make sure to follow me on Instagram where I share my happy creations! Thank you!

See you tomorrow,

Newton’s Nook Designs Holiday Release – Day 3

Hello Everyone,

We are over the half of the Holiday Release reveals of Newton’s Nook Designs and I wish you are ready for the cutest little critters ever. Today our team showcases the adorable Christmas Puppies and A Kitten Christmas stamp/die sets. Perfect individually but also combined together!

All new products will be available on 23rd Oct, 2020!

CARD 1

For my first card I stamped the images from A Kitten Christmas on white cardstock and coloured them with Copic markers. I used the coordinating dies to cut them out.

Then I die cut the Paw print shaker pieces from white cardstock and layered them on top of each other. I also cut some pine and a red bow using the Pines and Holly die set.

For the background I chose a pretty patterned paper from Doodlebug Designs and cut it down with the scalloped rectangle from Frames and Flags. I matted it with a slightly larger dark green piece and assembled the card. The sentiment I simply heat embossed in white on the same green cardstock and cut it down with my paper trimmer.

As a finishing touch I added clear shimmer to the santa hat and glossy accents to the candy canes.

CARD 2

As always I started with stamping and colouring the cute puppy from Christmas puppies and cut it out with the coordinating die. I also had a bone and a santa hat which I covered with Marvy Snow marker and heat it up with my heat tool. It puffs up and looks so fluffy!

I wanted a festive background for my little pup so I used the Tiny Trees stencil with Green Glitz Glitter Gel from Gina K Designs and Thermoweb. I applied it directly on a white top folding card base. Looks gorgeous and so glittery! I guess it is my favourite stencil this season!

I popped up the pup with 3D foam squares on a white strip and matted it with dark red cardstock. I stamped the sentiment in green directly above it and when the trees were dry, I mounted it all with a thin 3D foam tape from Simon Says Stamp. It is much thinner than the 3M tape but still gives dimension. I love it!

I finished it off with glossy accents on the nose and holy berries and made the eyes shiny with a black glaze pen.

Newton’s Nook Designs Holiday Release – Day 2

This image has an empty alt attribute; its file name is 121806455_1281154408901631_3368528928141305936_n.png

Hello Everyone,

It is Day 2 of Newton’s Nook Designs’ Holiday release reveals. Today we feature the Dear Santa and the Nutcrackers stamp/die sets which also has a fun word die included!

All new products will be available on 23rd Oct, 2020!

CARD 1

For my first card I stamped the images from Dear Santa on white cardstock and coloured them with Copic markers. I used the coordinating dies to cut them out.

I also die cut a tag using the Fancy edges tag die set and white cardstock. The snow banks I cut with a Land border die and added a bit of shading to it with Copic markers. The reinforcer I cut from dark red cardstock and added red twine after popping up Santa with 3D foam squares.

I wanted to use the new Reindeer stencil as I felt it is the perfect match with Santa so I applied Gathered Twigs Distress Oxide ink over it on a kraft card base. I used a blending brush for a subtle result.

The sentiment I white heat embossed on a special brown shimmer cardstock for a festive feel and cut it down to a very narrow strip. After assembling the card I could not resist adding a bit of stickles to Santa’s uniform and a bit of glossy accents to his boots and belt.

CARD 2

The Nutcrackers is one of my favourite sets in this release, maybe because it reminds me of my childhood. I was 6 years old when I saw the ballet and it enchanted me. I imagined a classic look for my little wooden creatures so I stamped and coloured them with red, green any yellow Copic markers. I used the coordinating dies to cut them out.

I die cut the rounded rectangle from Frames and Flags from a satin pearl cardstock. I also cut the fun word die included in the Nutcrackers coordinating die set from green glitter cardstock and arranged them on the top and the bottom of the pearl panel. I popped up the two nutcrackers in between using 3D foam squares.

I white heat embossed another sentiment on brown cardstock and used a small circle die to cut it out.

For the background I chose a classic brown checked patterned paper, I really feel it makes the images stand out. And again, perfect for our guys too. I added clear shimmer and glossy accents to some details on the clothes and made the eyes shiny with a black glaze pen.

Newton’s Nook Designs Holiday Release – Day 1

Hello Everyone,

I am super excited to share with you a whole week of Holiday fun as we start the reveals of Newton’s Nook Designs’ Holiday release! Today we feature the Destination Christmas and Christmas Camper stamp/die sets and 2 fantastic new stencils!

All new products will be available on 23rd Oct, 2020!

CARD 1

For my first card I stamped the images from Destination Christmas on Bristol Smooth cardstock and painted the images with Altenew watercolours. I almost never use watercolours but I just zoned out and painted without thinking. When they were dry I used the coordinting dies to cut them out.

I used the rounded square from Frames squares die set to cut a panel from watercolour cardstock and painted a night sky with blue watercolours. I dried it with my heat tool and splattered it with white acrylic paint and some liquid pixie dust.

Meanwhile it was drying I used the new Tiny trees stencil on a white card base with white texture paste to get a tone-on-tone background.

When the cardbase was ready I popped up the cars with 3D foam squares on the focal panel and white heat embossed a sentiment on a thin strip of vellum which I wrapped around the top. I matted it with red cardstock and adhered it to the card base with thin 3D foam tape. I finished it off with red twine. Isn’t it perfect for guys?

CARD 2

For my second card I used the Evergreens stencil on a white card base with Bundled Sage Distress Oxide ink to create the forest background. Then with a small blending brush I applied Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide for the sky.

Then I stamped and black heat embossed the images from Christmas Campers on Bristol Smooth cardstock and coloured them with Karin Bruhmarkers. I love these markers as they have a lot of pigment and just a drop of colour is enough to have bright results. I used a simple waterbrush to distribute the colours and cut everything out with their coordinating dies.

Using the Land border dies I die cut a snow bank from white glitter cardstock (Simon Says Stamp) and assembled the scene. I used 3D foam squares for the images to create dimension.

For the sentiment I die cut the Happy Holiday from Holiday Greetings 4 times from red cardstock and layered them on top of each other. I love that it looks like chipboard. I stamped and extra sentiment under it in black and my card was all finished. Perfect card for guys too, don’t you think?

Squirrels’ party – Lawn Fawn

Hello Everyone,

It has been a while since I last played along the Lawnfawnatics Challenges and the same with Simon Says Stamp IG challenges. I felt it was high time for some crafty fun and as the theme is Fall on both, I used my brand new squirrels from Lawn Fawn’s latest release.

I stamped the little cuties from Let’s go nuts, the branch from a retired set called Home sweet home. I used a brown hybrid ink from Scrapbook.com, which is Copic marker friendly. Then I used different brown shades to colour them and cut them all out with their coordinating dies.

Then I die cut the different pieces of the Acorn house from kraft and brown cardstock, and some accessories from the new metallic gold cardstock.

The smaller leave from the set I cut from coloured cardstock scraps several times. For the grass I used a grassy border die.

For the background of my scene I chose a cloudy patterned paper from the new Into the woods remix paper pad. I assembled the scene using liquid glue and 3D foam squares to add dimension. The sentiments I white heat embossed on thin brown cardstock strips. I used the same cardstock to add a thin mat around my scene.

I finished it off with a black glaze pen on the eyes and noses and made the acorn hats shiny with glossy accents. Such a cheerful scene, don’t you think? Will be a perfect gift for my daughter’s friend, who is turning 10 soon.

I will upload this card to the Lawnfawnatics Challenge #86 and the SSSIG Challenge Fall theme too.

I hope you enjoyed my card design and will pop in again soon for more fun!

See you,

Zsofi

Halloween Ghosts creatively

Hello Everyone,

Welcome to another edition of my Perfect Combos series for Heffy Doodle. This card is also part of the ‘Till Death Do Us Craft collaboration which is a month long event with some other crafty girls to share Halloween inspiration with you. If you want to see our projects, just use the #tilldeathdouscraft tag to search on social media.

At this time of the year I am fully into Halloween crafting and came up with a fun idea how to create your own ghosts with the Happily Ever Crafer stamp set from Heffy Doodle. I combined it with a couple of other Heffy Cuts and stamps for this cheerful and funny card. Are you ready?

First I stamped the veil from the Happily Ever Crafter stamp set with Versamark ink on heavy weight vellum and heat embossed it with white embossing powder. To give the ghosts faces I used the Party Palooza stamp set then I cut the ghosts out with their coordinating dies. They look so cute!

To set my scene I needed a spooky night sky so I grabbed my blue alcohol inks and dabbed some lighter and darker shades on Yupo paper with a felt blending tool. It is so fast and easy, just make sure to use them in a well ventillated place! It dries fast but I waited an hour before I die cut it with a Stitched Rectangle die

Meanwhile I die cut some tree trunks with the Forest Builder die set and grass with a Grassy Lass Border die from black cardstock. I sponged a bit of white pigment ink on them to make them more spooky.

And last I needed a sentiment: on a black banner I white heat embossed a Halloween one from the Holiday Sentiment Duos stamp set. Then I assembled the card: I adhered the trees and the ghosts with tiny drops of liquid glue hiding the adhesive under the embossed lines. In this way it does not show through. The grass I attached directly under the sentiment banner and popped them up with 3D foam squares. I finished the scene with a couple of star sequins from my stash.

I hope you enjoyed today’s Perfect Combo and will check back later for more inspiration. If you like my cards, please make sure to follow me on Instagram where I share my happy creations! Thank you!

See you soon,
