‘Till Death Do Us Craft Collaboration – Day 1

Hello Everyone,

I am so excited to participate in the ‘Till Death Do Us Craft collaboration with some amazingly talented girls to share a bunch of inspiration for you for Halloween. It is an event lasting till the end of the month, if you want to see our projects just use the #tilldeathdouscraft tag to search on social media.

As my kick off project I created a super cute night scene with Hello Bluebird stamps and dies.

I started with stamping and colouring the cuties from Little Haunters using my Copic markers. I cut them out with their coordinating dies.

Then I created a background on Bristol Smooth cardstock by blending Milled Lavender Distress Oxide ink first ever so lightly. Then I used the Clouds stencil from Heffy Doodle to fill the sky with Wilted Violet Distress Oxide ink. I used Black Soot on the edges to make it darker and usd the grassy stencil from Heffy Doodle to add grey grass for the critters to stand on. Then I splattered the panel with purple and black paint and also added some Liquid Pixie Dust sprinkles from Inkon3. This adds a subtle sparkle like stars in the sky. I could not resist adding a few drops of white ink too, just for the texture.

The sentiment is from Hello Bluebird also, I cut it out from black sparkle glitter paper from Simon Says Stamp. It has a purplish tone to it so it matched the night sky perfectly. After adhering it to the background I popped up the critters with 3D foam squares.

As a finishing touch I used a black glaze pen on their eyes and glossy accents on their little baskets. I adhered it to a black mat before mounting it on a white A2 sized card base.

Here is the list of the participants of the collaboration, I hope you hop along with us today.

  1. What a beautiful and fun card! I just love it! Do you mind telling me what Copic colours you used for your cut little fox? I’m struggling to find a combination that works. Any suggestions would be so appreciated.
