Farm themed birthday – Newton’s Nook Designs

Hello Everyone,

I am sorry for the silence, we are all struggling with some sort of flu (hopefully not COVID) so I kept my posts minimal in the last 2 weeks. But today is my turn on the Newton’s Nook Designs blog so I created a farm themed card by mixing a few stamp sets. Let me show you how I made this cutie.

First I stamped and coloured images from Oink, Moo, Neigh and Baa. I used Copics, mostly warm grey markers and cut everything out with the coordinating dies.

Then I used the dies from Frames Squared to build up my layers: I cut a frame from green cardstock using the scallopped and rounded square dies. When I am cutting a frame I love to hold the dies together with purple tape to avoid shifting. I also cut a scallopped rectangle from patterned paper, the fancy label die from grey and a black circle.

I heat embossed a sentiment from the Baa stamp set, and assembled the card on a black 4,25*4,25 inches card base. I finished it off with green twine ad a bit of glossy accents on the cow’s bell and pig’s ribbon. I also used a black glaze pen on their eyes to make them pop.

I hope you liked today’s inspiration and you will come back tomorrow for another sweet one 😉

See you,
