Happy Purrthday – Heffy Doodle

Hello Everyone,

I am so happy to participate in the Cat Lovers Blog Hop organised by the lovely Janis. Heffy Doodle is one of the sponsors of this event so I created a card using Heffy Doodle stamps and dies. All details of the blog hop you can read here.

I started with stamping and colouring the images from the Purrfect Day and Mewniverse stamp sets using Spectrum Noir Illustrator markers. The colours I used are the following: EB5, EB4, EB3, RB2, RB1, DG2. BG2, BG1. I used the coordinating dies to cut everything out.

I die cut a white stitched rectangle using one of the dies from Imperial Stitched Rectangles and lightly inkblended it from the sides with Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide ink. I also die cut a green rectangle and cut grass out of it with the Grassy Lass Border dies. I added a tiny bit of ink on the top of it just to add some shading.

Then I die cut 2 branched and a bunch of leaves from coloured cardstock scraps using the Tree-mendous Peekaboo Tree dies and assembled the scene. I used 3D foam squares to pop up the cats.

The sentiment is from the Purrfect Day stamp set and I stamped it directly on the sky with green and black inks. I gave the scene a dark red mat and adhered it to a kraft Woodgrain Texture Background.

As a finishing touch I used a black glaze pen and drops of glossy accents on the noses of the cats.
