Winter Wishes – Pretty Pink Posh

Hello Everyone,

I cannot believe that it is the last day of November today and from tomorrow it is December…officially winter is here. With the cold weather I definitely want to stay inside more and just craft. But if the snow comes we definitely will look for the winter gloves and go out for a sleigh ride with the kids. I wish I have colourful ones like these on my card!

I wanted to try the Layered Mittens Stencil from Pretty Pink Posh on grey cardstock, so I used Salvaged Patina, Shaded Lilac and Salty Ocean Distress Oxide inks for the first layer. Then for the patterns, I went a shade darker: Peacock Feathers, Villainous Potion and Blueprint Sketch.

I used a white puff stencil paste for the last layer and heated it with my heat tool. I love how fluffy it gets when heated!

I really didn’t want to cover up the pattern, but needed a strip of white cardstock to hold the sentiment. I die cut the Winter Wishes die from blue glitter cardstock, adhered it to the white strip and have it an aqua mat. I used 3D foam squares to pop it up for extra dimension.

I wish you love this cool and simple design and will try it in different colours. I cannot wait to make the yellow-pink-orange version of this!

Santa Paws is coming!

Hello Everyone,

I have a super cute and easy card design for you today using an older stamp set from Newton’s Nook Designs. Santa Paws Newton is an adorable set with the sweetest images.

I started with stamping and colouring the kitty and accessories with Spectrum Noir Illustrator markers. I used DR5, DR3, DR1. DR05, BG5, BG3, BG2, BG1, BG05, AG4, AG2, AG05, EB4, RB2, RB1, RB05. I cut them all out with the coordinating dies.

Then I used a scallop die from Sky borders to cut 4 pieces of textured red cardstock for the roof. I used a dark red ink to add some shading to it.

For the background I did some quick ink blending on Distress Watercolour cardstock. I love the texture of that! I used Uncharted Mariner and Chipped Sapphire Distress Oxide inks, generously spritzed it with water and added some drops of Picket Fence Distress Paint too for snow.

For the sentiment I die cut a Speech Bubble from white cardstock and stamped a greeting in the middle of it from the Santa Paws Newton set.

As a finishing touch I used a clear shimmer pen on the presents and fur of the Santa costume and added glossy accents to the ribbons. I made the eyes and nose of the mice shiny with a black glaze pen.

Grateful – Pretty Pink Posh

Hello Everyone,

I hope you all who celebrate, had a lovely Thanksgiving and spent some wonderful time with your beloved ones. Thanksgiving is not a holiday in Hungary, but it doesn’t mean I cannot feel gratitude daily for all the blessings I have: loving family, supporting husband, food on our table, and difficulties which we are able to handle. I am also so thankful for our crafty community, the kind words I get from you. Thank you for joining me on this creative journey! To celebrate, I have a cute set to show you: a card and coordinating tag, which is perfect on its own for a little note of kindness. I used Pretty Pink Posh goodies to create them.

First I stamped and coloured the PPP Fall envelopes and a few extra sunflowers using Spectrum Noir Illustrator and Classique markers: EB7, EB5, EB3, RB2, GB5, CT4, CT2, CG3, CG2, CG05, GB3, GB1, GB05, GY05. I used the coordinating dies to cut them out.

For the card I created my own patterned paper on a kraft cardstock strip: I stamped the sunflower image from Fall Envelopes several times with brown hybrid ink, and used the same colours as above to bring them to life. I love how the colours are muted on kraft cardstock, I need to do this more often. I did dome brown ink blending on the edges for a vintage look, I gave it a brown and a green mat and adhered it to a white A2 sized note card.

I mounted the envelope in the middle with 3D foam squares and added a stacked Grateful Script sentiment. The last layer I cut from green glitter cardstock and adhered on top. It looks like chipboard, so pretty! I also stamped a “for you” sentiment from the Simple sentiment stamp set under it, with brown ink.

I embellished the card with a few Pistachio Pearls, used a clear shimmer pen on the middle of the flowers and added glossy accents too, to make them shiny.

For the tag I created a card base from folded cardstock and the Fall envelopes coordinating die. So easy and looks super cute. I cannot wait to make more of this for even lunch box notes for the kids. I used a Thanks Script die for the sentiment, cut it from the same green glitter cardstock as above, so they match.

Farm holiday – Heffy Doodle

Hello Everyone,

Welcome to another edition of my Perfect Combos series for Heffy Doodle. Today I take you to the farm where everything is beginning to look a lot like Christmas (and now I know you will have this song going on in your head for all day long, ha ha). I mixed and matched several sets to create this cute scene, let me guide you through the process.

I started with stamping the images from Farmyard fun, Udderly Fabulous and Wanna build a snowman. I used Spectrum Noir Illustrator markers: EB5, EB3, EB1, AG4, AG3, AG2, AG1, AG05, GB4, GB2, GB1, FS8, FS7, FS4, DR4, DR2, DR05, BG5, BG3, BG1, OR1. I cut them all out with their coordinating dies.

While I was die cutting I also cut the elements for the background scenery: I used the Rolling Hills Landscape die and cut it from white cardstock. I also cut a Fence border from brown cardstock, I love that the curves match! I did a quick ink blending on the sky part with Blueprint Sketch and Salty Ocean Distress Oxide inks, spritzed it with water and dabbed it off with a paper towel after 30seconds. I made sure the panel was dry before I used the First Snow stencil with Cosmic Shimmer Ultra Sparkle paste. I also added a little shading to the snowbanks before assembling the scene.

I popped up the images with 3D foam squares for dimension. I stamped a sentiment from the Watcha Sayin’ now stamp set and cut it out with the coordinating die. Then I white heat embossed another one from Holiday Sentiment Duos on a red cardstock strip and popped both up in place.

As a finishing touch I used a clear shimmer pen and glossy accent to emphasize some details. I also used a white gel pen to add highlights, it totally enhances the whimsical feeling of this card.

Easy snow globe scene – Newton’s Nook Designs

Hello Everyone,

With Christmas getting closer and closer I was looking for a card idea which is easy to mass produce if needed. So I created a little snow globe scene using stamps and dies from Newton’s Nook Designs.

I started with stamping the Snowfall Roundabout stamp with Versamark ink on a light blue cardstock and white heat embossed it. Then I die cut it with a stitched circle die from Circle Frames. I added tiny it of shading with Blueprint Sketch Distress oxide ink and a blending brush.

Then I stamped the sleigh riders from Winter Memories in black on white cardstock and cut it out with its coordinating die. While I was die cutting I also cut a snowbank with a Land Border die from white glitter cardstock. I used the Snow globe shaker die set to cut the bottom of the snow globe from mirror cardstock and assembled the snow globe.

As I wanted to stamp over the heat embossed background, I chose Staz-on ink. It worked like a charm. I popped up the snow globe on a white scalloped rectangle (Frames and Flags) and stamped another sentiment under it in red from the Heartfelt Holidays stamp set.

I felt the scene needed a pop of red, so I chose a pretty striped paper from the Meowy Christmas paper pad.

Pumpkin Spice Wishes – Newton’s Nook Designs

Hello Everyone,

Today’s coffee card is a bit more elegant and cozy: I was playing with some of my favourite things from Newton’s Nook Designs.

I started with a kraft cardbase and used the Tree Rings stencil with Gina K Glitz Glitter gel which I mixed with Ground Espresso Distress Oxide ink. The result is a gorgeous, dimensional and glittery background, I love it!

Until it was drying I stamped and coloured the girl from the Pumpkin Latte stamp set using Spectrum Noir Illustrator markers.I cut her out with the coordinating die.

I also cut a bunch of Autumn Leaves from coloured cardstock scraps and a banner with the Frames and Flags die set from Speckled Eggshell (Lawn Fawn) cardstock to hold the sentiment, which I stamped in brown.

After assembling the card I decided to distress the edges of the background with Ground Espresso ink and a blending brush. It gives a bit more depth.

I will upload this card to the Fall/Winter Coffee Lovers Blog Hop and also to the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge Stencil it.

Monstrous love – MFT

Hello Everyone,

I am back today with a very funny card, still expressing my special relationship with COFFEE. I used stamps and dies from My Favorite Things and even the sketch is a relatively recent one from their Sketch Challenges (#613).

I started with stamping and colouring the cute monsters from MFT Monster Sized (retired set) and the coffee cups from MFT Friends At First Sip using Spectrum Noir Illustrator markers: CG3, CG2, CG1, CG05, BT8, BT7, BT5, BT4, BT3, MB2, MB05, EB7, EB5, EB3, IG9, IG7, IG5, IG3, IG1. Then I cut them out with their coordinatig dies.

Then I die cut two smaller MFT Double Stitched Rectangles from white cardstock and blended them with Ground Espresso and Antique Linen Distress Oxide inks. I added some water and diluted ink splatters and adhered the panels to a white top folding card base.

I stamped a sentiment in between the two panels using brown ink and die cut the word “coffee” with the Emitt Alpha dies from brown and bronze cardstock and layered them on top of each other tiny offset. I adhered the letters to the monsters and popped them up on the card using 3D foam suares.

As a finishing touch I used a white gel pen to add highlights and added glossy accents to the eyes an teeth, horns and cup covers.

Coffee-love – Pretty Pink Posh

Hello Everyone,

I am back today with a card which is a tribute to my love for coffee 🙂 I made this cutie with stamps, dies and a fun layering stencil from Pretty Pink Posh, let me show you how!

First I created the background on cream cardstock using Distress Oxide inks with the Layered Coffee Cups stencil: Scattered Straw and Worn Lipstick for the mugs, Ground Espresso for the coffee layer and Abandoned Coral for the hearts. I also added white texture paste to the on-the-go cups and spritzed the mugs with Shimmer Mist for a subtle sparkle. After removing the stencil I added some splatters of the same diluted inks, it makes the whole background so playful.

Then I stamped the cups from Winter Drinks using brow hybrid ink for a warm feel. I coloured them with Spectrum Noir Illustrator markers: EB7, EB5, EB3, RB4, RB1, RB05, GB4, GB2, GB1, DR1, DR05, FS5. I die cut them with their coordinating dies.

While I was die cutting I also cut a brown tag from textured cardstock with the Fall Circles die set, white heat embossed the sentiment on the top from the Simple sayings: Life stamp set and popped up the cups with foam squares under it.

I trimmed the background piece tiny so I could mount it on a guava top folding card base, popped up the focal panel with 3D foam squares and added a matching twine to the top of the card.

As a finishing touch I used a clear shimmer pen and glossy accents on the cups and scattered a bunch of Sparkling clear jewels all around the card.

Merry Chrismugs – Heffy Doodle

Hello Everyone,

Welcome to another edition of my Perfect Combos series for Heffy Doodle. Christmas is close and as a real coffee addict I had to create a special card with the adorable Perfect Blend stamp set. Let me show you how I created this card!

First I stamped the coffee cups from the Perfect Blend stamp set and coloured them with Spectrum Noir Illustrator markers: DR4, DR2, DR1, AG5, AG3, AG1, RB2, RB1, RB05, EB5. I used the coordinating dies to cut them out. Then I took the faces of the Veggie Patch stamp set and personalized the cups. It is so easy and gives them a lot of character!

Then I die cut a wreath 4 times from green cardstock wit the Leafy Laurel Circle die and layered the on top of each other. I also cut some darker green sprigs and red glitter berries to make the wreath festive.

For the background I chose a woodgrain cardstock and distressed it with Antique Linen Distress Oxide ink and added some Ground Espresso and gold splatters. After giving it a red mat I mounted it on a white card base an adhered the wreath and cups in place.

For the sentiment I used the Holiday Sentiment duo set and white heat embossed “merry” on a dark green cardstock strip. I also cut a fun sentiment with the Stitched Alphabetters set from red glitter cardstock and adhered the letters in a playful way. Isn’t it cute?

As a finishing touch I used a bit of clear shimmer on the foam and glossy accents on the lid. I also emphasized the eyes of the green cup with a black glaze pen.

Heartfelt thanks – Pretty Pink Posh

Hello Everyone,

November is a very special month for me even though we do not celebrate Thanksgiving in Hungary. With the weather turning rainy and cold, we spend more time indoors. I appreciate a warm drink, a blanket and curling up on the couch watching cartoons with my kids or just playing a family board game. I am truly grateful for the love which surrounds me daily. I realized that I make majority of my “thanks” cards in November too. So here is one in unusual colours using the Layered sunflowers stencil from Pretty Pink Posh.

On a piece of Fog cardstock I used Simon Says Stamp Pawsitively Saturated inks with the petal layers: Lilac and Amethyst. For the leaves I used Fawn ink. This was the first time for me to use these inks on coloured cardstock and I really loved that the edges of the stenciled image is not that crisp but soft and rounded somehow. Totally different experience that blending with Distress Oxide inks! For the middle of each flower I chose Picket Fence Studio Polar Ice layers B which is a stunning pearly silver. I love the texture of it too!

While the panel was drying I die cut the PPP Thanks Script die from Purple glitter cardstock (Simon Says Stamp has a wide range) and once from black cardstock. I layered them on top of each other tiny offset so it has a shadow.

I cut the stenciled panel at an angle and matted it with purple cardstock before adhering it to a white card base. I added the sentiment on the top and stamped an extra sentiment from the PPP Simply Sentiments stamp set in between two flowers.

As a finishing touch I used PPP Platinum Pearls, just scattered a bunch around the stenciled flowers.
