Heffy Doodle New Release reveals – Day 4

Hello Everyone,

Welcome to the last day of the new release reveals at Heffy Doodle! Our team made gorgeous samples for you to show the rest of the new goodies, so make sure to visit the Heffy Doodle Blog for more details.

I have a fun party card for you featuring the Flockstar stamp/die set, the Freshly Cut Grass dies, the Candy Swirl stencil and the Pride Sparkle Mix.

First I stamped and coloured the cute flamingos from the Flockstar stamp set using Spectrum Noir markers. The colours I used are: PP4, PP3, PP2, PP1, LG4, BG4, BG1, GY2. I used the coordinating dies to cut everything out.

Then I used the Candy Swirl stencil on a top folding white note card with Fossilized Amber and Mustard Seed Distress Oxide inks. I made the patter fade out towards the edges of the card by simply applying the lighter ink with a very light hand.

To embellish the scene I die cut a few leaves with the Freshly Cut Grass dies from green cardstock ad adhered them to the top of the card. I also cut a pink Skinny Imperial Rectangle Frame to frame the scene. I popped up the images with 3D foam squares and stamped a sentiment and a few music notes in black.

As a finishing touch I added a few sequins from the Pride Sparkle Mix and used glossy accents on the beaks and legs, and also on the tape recorder too. So retro and so cool!

I wish you enjoyed today’s reveals and you are ready to shop! Pre-orders are open and every purchase gets a freebie!

See you soon,

Heffy Doodle New Release reveals – Day 3

Hello Everyone,

Welcome back to the 3rd day of the Heffy Doodle new release reveals! Our Design Team showcases a galore of fun new products today, for all the info please visit the Heffy Doodle blog.

For my card today, I used the Sky High Cloud Backdrop die, the Special Delivery stamp/die set, the New Arrival sentiment set, the Moxy Alphabet die set and the Starry Night Sparkle Mix.

First I worked on the background: I die cut the Sky High Cloud Backdrop die from white cardstock and did a little ink blending with Tumbled Glass and Salty Ocean Distress Oxide inks. I also added a little shading to all the little die cut clouds, I love the depth it gives. I mounted it on an A2 sized notecard and popped up all the clouds with 3D foam squares for dimension.

Then I stamped and coloured the cute stork with the bag from the Special Delivery stamp set using Copic markers. The coloulrs I used are: T7, T5, T2, T1, T0, E44, E42, E41, YR09, YR07, YR04. I used the coordinating dies to cut them out.

While I was die cutting I also cut my custom sentiment which I made with the Moxie Alphabet die set. I cut each letter twice: once from white and also from silver glitter cardstock. I adhered them together and adhered them to the clouds. Some letters needed extra support, so I used teeny tiny 3D foam squares for that.

I also stamped the rest of the sentiment under the letters from the New Arrival stamp set.

I popped up the stork and embellished the card with a few sequins from the Starry Night Sparkle Mix. I wish I have made a pink version of this card immediately, but I was not wise enough. Next time 🙂

I wish you enjoyed today’s reveals and will come back tomorrow for more fun! And don’t forget that every preorder after 28/02 gets a freebie!

See you,

Heffy Doodle New Release Reveals – Day 2

Hello Everyone,

I am so excited to participate in the Heffy Doodle new release reveals! This release is huge and full of crafty goodness. Check out the Heffy Doodle blog for all the details.

For my card I used the cute Be Hoppy stamp and die set along with the new Ripple Waves stencil and Jumbo Jump for Joy sentiment die. All new products will be available on 7th March!

First I stamped and coloured the little frogs from Be Hoppy using Copic markers and cut them out with the coordinating dies. The colours I used are:

  • frogs: YG09, YG05, YG01, Y21, Y000
  • leaves: G19, G17, G03
  • flowers: RV17, RV14, RV13, RV11

Then I die cut the Jump for joy sentiment from green cardstock 4 times and the shadow from black cardstock. On the top layer I did some quick ink blending with Rustic Wilderness Distress Oxide ink for a gradient look. Then I adhered all layers together and backed it with its shadow.

I wanted to keep the card simple so on a white card base I used the new Ripple Waves stencil with Tumbled Glass Distress Oxid ink without paying attention to even blending. Therefore in some places the pattern is darker and in some it is lighter. So cool! Before removing the stencil, I added clear shimmer mist to the background, which adds a subtle sparkle to the waves.

After assembling the card I stamped an extra sentiment under the die cut one from the Be Hoppy stamp set and embellished the car with Enchanted Moss Sparkle Mix.

I wish you enjoyed today’s reveals and will come back tomorrow for more fun! And don’t forget that every preorder after 28/02 gets a freebie!

See you,

Loads of Love – Heffy Doodle

Hello Everyone,

Welcome to another edition of my Perfect Combos series for Heffy Doodle. As it is Valentine’s Day today, I created a fun little farm scene for you mixing ad matching several stamp sets and stencils. Let me guide you through the process.

First I stamped and coloured the images from Farmyard Fun and Udderly Fabulous. I used Spectrum Noir Illustrator markers: GY5, GY3, GY, GY1, DR5, DR2, DR1, DR05, BG7, BG5, BG4, BG2, BG1, FS7, FS6, VB3,VB2, VB1, VB05, EB5, EB2, EB1. I used the coordinating dies to cut everything out.

Then I used the Green Fields stencil on a piece of Neenah Solar White cardstock with Mowed Lawn and Twisted Citron Distress Oxide inks. I used a lighter hand towards the bottom to help the ink fade out. I wanted the sky to be a bit more whimsical than plane clouds so I used the Scribble on my heart stencil with Saltwater Taffy Distress Oxide ink, fading it out towards the edge of the grass. I didn’t do any kind of masking just did not allow the inks to meet. So easy, yet special!

The sentiments are from both stamp sets, white heat embossed on strips of black cardstock. I popped up the images on the background with 3D foam squares, just as the sentiments. The scene building elements I adhered with liquid glue.

As a finishing touch I used a black glaze pen on the eyes of the cow, added white gel pen highlights randomly and used glossy accents on the wheels.

I hope you enjoyed today’s Perfect Combo and will check back later for more inspiration. If you like my cards, please make sure to follow me on Instagram where I also share my happy creations! Thank you!

Pretty Pink Posh Birthday Release Blog Hop

Hello Everyone,

I am so excited to be part of the new release blog hop with Pretty Pink Posh! They are turning 9 this month and the we celebrate in style with a 4 days long blog hop. The new release is full of birthday themed stamps, dies and stencils, check them out!

For my card I used the Birthday Signs stamp set and stamped the cute crocodile and cupcakes on Neenah Solar White cardstock. I coloured the images with Copic markers and cut them out with their coordinating dies.

While I was die cutting I die cut also 2 tags using the Birthday Sentiments coordinating die set: one white and one aqua as I wanted to make them a see-through shaker tag. I covered the open areas with acetate and used thin foam strips to create a funnel which I filled with Citrus Mix jewels. I also added a decorative eyelet to the top and finished it off with twine. I adhered the croc and the cupcakes and my focal panel was ready!

For the background I used the new Layered Party Hats stencils on lime cardstock. For the first layer I used Twisted Citron Distress Oxide ink, then for the second and third layers I used Mowed Lawn Distress Oxide ink. I love the tone-on-tone look I got this way! To match the party hat of the crocodile, I used Blueprint Sketch Distress Oxide for the little star layer, I think it really pops!

I wanted to add another sentiment, so I used the Large Celebrate Shadow die ad cut it from blue metallic cardstock. I wanted it to look as it is foiled, so I did not use the shadow die for it.

As a finishing touch I added a bit of clear shimmer to the party hat and cupcake holders, and added glossy accents tot he candle and the teeth of the croc.

Sweet Treat Blog Hop – Newton’s Nook Designs

Hello Everyone,

I am so excited to be part of the 9th, annual Sweet Treats Blog Hop by Newton’s Nook Designs. The Design Team is hopping along today to share some great Sweet Treats – just in time for Valentine’s day! Make sure you scroll down to the bottom of this post to see the whole list and hop along and comment for a chance to win!

This year I decorated some chocolate boxes to give away some pralines to my loved ones. I made 2 versions, one with a cat, one with a dog.

I started with stamping and colouring Newton’s Heart and Puppy Heart stamp sets using Spectrum Noir Illustrator markers: BG9, BG7, BG5, BG4, BG3, BG1, BG05, BT3, BT2, BT1, BT05, MG5, MG4, MG3, MG2, FS6. I used the coordinating dies to cut them out. I black heat embossed the sentiments directly in the hearts.

Then I used the Circle Frames die set to cut the base for my choco boxes: the biggest scalloped circle was the perfect size. I chose patterned paper from the Love and Chocolate and Love and Woofs paper pads.

For the top I used the stitched circle and cut it from patterned paper as the base. Then I added a smaller scalloped circle cut from vellum before popping up the images with 3D foam squares.

As a finishing touch, I added glossy accents to the noses.

Birthday woofs with Newton’s Nook Designs

Hello Everyone,

I am back today with a clean and simple design for dog lovers’ birthdays. I created this for my son’s friend who is crazy about dachshunds. I love that Newton’s Nook Designs has the Dog Silhouette die set and it has the cutest dog shapes!

First I die cut al element for my card: the dog from brown textured cardstock with the Dog Silhouette dies set, some balloons with a Lawn Fawn die set from some glitter scraps and a white tag with the Fancy edges tag die set.

I chose patterned papers from the Birthday Party and A dog’s life paper pads to adorn it before assembling the focal panel. I used thin silver thread to attach the balloons to the dog’s neck.

I die cut patterned paper with the Frames and Flags die set as the background for the tag. The tone-on-tone pattern helps the tag stand out.

The sentiment I black heat embossed from the Birthday Oval stamp set on a teal banner and popped it in place with 3D foam squares.

For the matching bookmark I used patterned paper and blue cardstock and cut it twice with the Bookmark die. I added a die cut pawprint and the boy’s name to the front, which I cut with the Essential Alpha dies. I also adhered a dachshund to the bottom. I love to personalize gifts. I adorned it with twine and it was all ready!

I hope you enjoyed my birthday woof idea and will pop in again soon!

See you,

Zsofi
