Mother’s Day Florals – Newton’s Nook Designs

Hello Everyone,

I am back today with a pretty card for Mother’s Day using the new Spring Blooms Oval stamp set from Newton’s Nook Designs.

First I stamped and coloured the beautiful image using Copic markers. I love these flowers so much, I got in Spring mood simply by colouring them! The colours I used are: R39, R46, R27, R24, R22, R32, R21, R20, YR08, YR09, YR16, Y38, Y35, Y15, Y08, Y11, YG67, YG65, YG61, B0000.

Then I took the scalloped oval die from Oval Frames to cut the image out and while I was die cutting I also cut a bit bigger oval from green cardstock.

For the background I chose patterned paper from the Spring Blooms paper pad and assembled the card.

The sentiment is from the Mom and Day stamp set, I stamped it on a pretty peach banner which I have cut with the A7 Frames and Banner die set, I also added a thin black fishtail banner on each side as decoration. I popped it up on top of the flowers using 3D foam squares.

As a finishing touch I used a bit of clear shimmer on the daffodils, and a black glaze pen on the flower centers.
