Warm wishes – LDRS Creative

Hello Everyone,

It is Zsofi here with you today with my last post for LDRS Creative as a Design Team member. I am so grateful to Angie for having me and to the wonderful ladies on the team who were cheering me for the last year. This card is to all of you, with all my heart!

I started with die cutting the Down Main Street die 2 times from heavy weight white cardstock and adhered them together.

Then I cut the beautiful snowflake patterned paper from the Christmas Cottage Paper Pad to be 2 and 3/4 inches by 5 and a half inches. I embellished it with silver glitter cardstock on the longer edges and adhered it to a white note card.

I used liquid glue to mount the white houses and stamped the sentiment from the Cardinal Seasons stamp set using Scarlet Rose Hybrid ink.

To make it more festive I added some White Blizzard Nuvo drops to the snowflakes and Star Dust Stickles to the roofs to imitate snow.

I love how elegant and pretty it turned out with that pop of red on the bottom.

I hope you enjoyed my card and will return soon for more inspiration.

See you,

Zsofi

Clean and simple holiday – LDRS Creative

Hello Everyone,

It is Zsofi here with a very clean and simple holiday card made with gorgeous patterned paper from the new release. Christmas Cottage has amazing designs and i wanted the florals to be in the spotlight.

I cut down the patterned paper a bit and matted it with red cardstock. I love layers on my cards.

The sentiment it from the Cardinal Seasons Petal Pushers stamp set, I heat embossed it with red embossing powder 2 times for a smoother and more dimensional look. I stamped another sentiment under it using Evergreen Hybrid ink.

I die cut it with an oval die from the Scalloped Rectangle Frame die set. The pretty tag die from the same die set I cut from green cardstock and lead some glitter tape through the holes on the sides.

I popped up the tag with 3D foam squares and secured the glitter tape on the back of the panel before adhering it to a white A2 sized notecard.

I hope you enjoyed today’s card and will come back again tomorrow for more inspiration!

See you soon,

Zsofi

I created a clean and simple card for today’s theme using the Cardinal seasons stamp set. On a piece of white cardstock I stamped the tree branch with Iced Tea ink and once more with Coffee Bean ink to make it slightly darker in some places. I used a stamp positioner and paid attention not to ink up the stamp perfectly to ensure some lighter and darker spots.

I also stamped the birdhouse the same way with the same inks. Then I filled the branch with the pine needles using Evergreen Hybrid ink.

The sentiment I heat embossed with gold embossing powder and matted the design with red cardstock.

For the background I chose a striped patterned paper from the Christmas Cottage paper pad. As embellishment I used Nuvo drops in red for the heart and gold to scatter around.

If you follow me you know how much I love creating scenes and play with cute stamps. I really enjoyed colouring the characters from the Halloween Hijinks, I stamped them on Bristol Smooth cardstock and coloured them with Arteza Real Brush markers. I used the coordinating dies to cut them out.

On another piece of Bristol Smooth cardstock I masked off a circle (By the light of the moon die) and I sponged Plum Crazy and Dark wash jeans Hybrid inks and added a little Raven on the edges.

After removing the mask, I went back on the circle with Snowy white ink to soften the edges of the moon.

I die cut grass (In the grass die) and a tree border (Up a tree die) from black cardstock. On the grass I added a bit of Snowy white ink for a spooky look.

I also die cut clouds from vellum (In a cloudy sky) and some stars (By the light of the moon) from silver glitter cardstock.

After assembling the night scene, I stamped the sentiment across the moon with Raven Hybrid ink. I used a black glaze pen on the eyes and pumpkins, and a bit of gold gel pen on the horn of the unicorn.

Hop along and leave a comment so you could win!

And make sure to be back tomorrow for some Christmas/Winter inspiration!

See you,

For my card today I stamped the images from the View for all seasons stamp set on Neenah Solar White 80lbs cardstock and coloured everything with Copic markers. The window shade I stamped with Dan-d-lion Hybrid ink and used some yellow markers to add shading. I fussy cut them out leaving a little white frame.

Then I die cut a scalloped rectangle from white cardstock using the Scalloped rectangle die set an stamped the window on it with Iced Tea Hybrid ink. I heat embossed a sentiment under it with gold embossing powder using the Happy Fall sentiments stamp set.

I assembled my little window scene, some elements I popped up with 3D foam squares. I also added some brick details using a tiny stamp from the View for all seasons stamp set.

For the background i used  a pretty patterned paper from the Sweater Weather paper pad. As a finishing touch I used a black glaze pen on the nose and the shutters and added a drop of glossy accents to the vine leaves.

Be unique! – Die cut layering with LDRS Creative

Hello Everyone,

It is Zsofi here with a fun card which does not involve colouring but instead it is very dimensional thanks to the die cut layering.

I was absolutely inspired by the pretty yellow-blue patterned papers from the Puddle Jumper paper pad and I started with cutting out the strip with the anchors and roses. I die cut 2 mini scalloped borders from yellow cardstock and layered it under this elegant strip.

While I was die cutting, I also cut some tags for my layering using the Scalloped Rectangle frame set. I cut the base and the small one from white cardstock and the middle layer from an anchor patterned paper.

I also die cut 4 of the big stitched clouds (In a cloudy sky die set) from white cardstock and layered them under the scallop strip.

The sentiment (from the On the move stamp set) I stamped on the small tag using Dark Wash Jeans Hybrid ink and layered the tags. I added 2 yellow matte enamel dots as embellishment.

I decided that I needed a bit more yellow on the card, so I used the Plaid stencil and Lantern Yellow Hybrid ink on the card base to add some light, fade-out colour. When assembling the card, I used 3D foam squares to pop up the tag in the middle.

I hope you liked today’s inspiration and will give it a try. Die cut layering is a cool technique and easy way to add interest and dimension to an otherwise simple card design. Until next time, happy crafting!

You are cool – LDRS Creative

Hello Everyone,

I am back today with a very cool and refreshing card for all of us enjoying a heatwave. I promise you that you will feel the chill looking at these card details 🙂

I started with partial die cutting some cardstock using one of the Practically Oval dies from LDRS Creative.

I love the dotted details!

First I cut it only from white heavy weight cardstock, but then I thought it would look so good with layering some ice cream colours under it. So I did the same with pink, yellow and light blue cardstocks too.

In the summer I love to eat ice cream and I enjoyed building my own deserts with the Ice cream party stamp set. With a bit of masking I created this yummy arrangement. When I create a scene like this, I always stamp each element on a scrap paper to see how they look best together.

When I have the final arrangement I can decide which image to stamp first and which ones next. It just makes it easier for me to build a collage and also helps if I want to make a copy of the card.

For all my stamping, even for the sentiment I used Raven Hybrid ink. I coloured the ice creams with alcohol markers, added some dotted details and some white gel pen highlights too.

When I was done with the colouring, I added the sprinkles to the pink scoop using the stamp from the set and Lipstick Jungle Hybrid ink. The chocolate syrup I stamped with Coffee Bean Hybrid ink first and then with clear embossing ink to be able to heat emboss it with clear embossing powder. I love the shiny texture I get like this.

For the background I used a pretty striped patterned paper from the Puddle Jumper paper pad (my favourite of all times). I also added some glossy accents to the fruits and sprinkles and finished this cool card with some iridescent jewels.

I hope you feel the chill now and got inspired. In the comments below let me know if you are craving ice cream now 😉 Until next time, happy crafting!

Combining dies – LDRS Creative

Hello Everyone,

I am back today with a card idea where I combined different elements of the newly released die sets from LDRS Creative: Practically Oval and Scalloped Rectangle Frame to achieve a new look.

I started with die cutting the biggest rectangle die from a polka dot patterned paper from the Daisy Delight paper pad. I also die cut the stitched oval from white cardstock as my focal point.

Next I stamped a bunch of flowers from the Stinkin’ amazing stamp set with Raven Hybrid ink and coloured them with Tombow markers. I fussy cut them out and ran a black marker on the edges to make sure there are no imperfections.

I clustered them on the top of the white oval and used liquid glue to adhere them. I started from the sides and overlapped tiny the next flowers. The middle one I popped up with 3D foam squares.

The sentiment I took from the If friends were flowers stamp and die set. I die cut the Friend die from black cardstock and adhered it under the flower cluster and stamped the rest of the sentiment with Lipstick jungle Hybrid ink.

I adhered it all on a white card base and it was time for the finishing touches: I added some details with a white gel pen and used a black glaze pen to emphasize the black dots in the middle of the flowers. I glued a couple of black jewels in the centers and my card is finished.

I hope you liked today’s inspiration and will pop in again tomorrow for more. Until then, happy crafting!

Beary great day! – LDRS Creative

Hello Everyone,

I have a beary sweet card for you today which I have made with goodies form the latest release at LDRS Creative.

I started with die cutting a rounded rectangle from alcohol ink friendly cardstock using the new Scalloped Rectangle die set.

With a bit of masking I created a little scene with the Beary Great Day stamp set. I stamped the honey mug with Raven Hybrid ink first, covered it with a mask I made with masking paper. Then I stamped the wooden spoon, covered it with a mask again and finally stamped the bear himself and the bees. I coloured the focal panel with Copic markers. I love how big the bear is, totally fills the panel!

There are so many dies in the Scalloped Rectangle die set, I wanted to use them for a layered look. So I die cut the scalloped rectangle from green cardstock and the fancy rectangle from dark brown. I layered them under the coloured panel and adhered it all to a yellow patterned paper I chose from the Puddle Jumper paper pad.

I did not leave space for the sentiment, but no worries! The die set had a tiny die which was a perfect base for the words I wanted to use. I die cut it first from kraft cardstock and then stamped the sentiment using Coffee Bean Hybrid ink.

As a finishing touch I added some glossy accents to the nose of the bear and the honey spilling out of the mug. I also covered the wings of the bees with a clear shimmer pen for a subtle sparkle.

I hope you like my card and will pop in again soon,

Zsofi
