It’s a beautiful day! – LDRS Creative

Hello Everyone,

I am back with a cute scene card I created for the LDRS Creative blog with the Mini Winnie Let’s Go stamp/die set. I love to build scenes and also enjoy coordinating dies as I am not the best at fussy cutting. The Mini Winnie stamp/die set has both the stamps and dies in one pack, for a really good price!

I started with stamping the little girl in the car on some alcohol ink friendly cardstock, coloured her with my alcohol markers and cut her out with the coordinating die.

Then I cut a rectangle from another piece of white cardstock and stamped the hills and clouds on it from the On the move Landscape set. I made the clouds thicker with some masking and using the single cloud stamp in the set. I coloured it all with alcohol markers and backed it with a thin black mat. I used the stitched die in the Lanscape set to cut the road from grey cardstock an added some shading with alcohol markers.

I stamped the sentiment in the sky with Raven Hybrid ink and popped up the girl in the card with 3D foam squares.

For the background I chose a pretty patterned paper from the Daisy Delight paper pad. After assembling the card I added some glossy accents to the bow, bumpers and wheels. I also covered the card with a clear shimmer pen to make it more girlish 🙂

I hope you liked my card today and will pop in soon for more inspiration. Happy crafting!

Pattern Paper Play – LDRS Creative

Hello Everyone,

I am back today with a very simple card, which any crafter can do, even the most beginner ones! And who does not need a quick card idea when there is no time for an elaborate design?

I am absolutely in love with the patterned papers from the Daisy Delight paper pad from LDRS Creative. I found this pretty flower one which is too beautiful to be covered. I felt it has to be the queen of the show.

Therefore I cut a piece to cover the front of an A2 card. I die cut a heavy weight vellum with the small rectangle die from the Eyelet Lace Rectangle set to hold the sentiment. I chose vellum to soften the design and let the background show through a little.

I die cut the friend dies from the If friends were flowers set: the shadow die from black, the sentiment die from pink cardstock scraps. I adhered them together and glued it to the vellum rectangle. Then I stamped another sentiment under it using In you face orange Hybrid ink. To make sure I will not smear it until I assemble the card, I heat set it with a heat tool.

As a tiny bit of embellishment I scattered some golden sequins all around the sentiment to make this card more elegant. I hope you like today’s inspiration and will check back later again.

See you soon,

Zsofi

You are so tweet Mama!

Hello Everyone,

I am here today with an elegant but oh so cute Mother’s Day card using stamps and dies from the latest release from LDRS Creative.

I started with die cutting the Peekaboo Petalette die from heavy weight white cardstock. I cut a few extra flowers too. I cut the edges down so the panel is smaller than an A2 sized card front.

I chose a pretty green toned patterned paper from the Polkadoodles Daisy Delight paper pad, cut it down to 4,25*5,5 inches and adhered the floral die cut background to it.

I also cut the stitched oval from white cardstock and stamped the cute pigeons from the You are so tweet stamp set with Raven Hybrid ink. I quickly coloured them with warm grey alcohol markers and stamped a sentiment under it with Olive Branch Hybrid ink.

After I popped up the oval with 3D foam squares I embellished the flowers with silver pearls. I added a lot, so every full flower has one pearl in the middle. It makes the card so elegant and festive.

I hope you liked today’s inspiration. Till next time, happy crafting!

Ruby celebrates! – LDRS Creative

Hello Everyone,

I am here today with a pretty birthday card featuring the sweet Ruby Celebration stamp set from LDRS Creative. I love this image, so fun to colour and it is big enough to be the focus of a simple card!

I started with stamping the girl on alcohol marker friendly white cardstock. I stamped a couple of sentiments next to her using the Celebrate stamp set (it is at an incredible price now!) and some hybrid inks: Raven and Lipstick Jungle.

Then I coloured the image with alcohol markers keeping the colours down to pinks and grays mostly. I cut down the panel and gave it a black thin mat.

I chose a pink patterned paper from the Candy Counter paper pad and added 2 pieces of gingham ribbon which I adhered to the back of the paper. I rarely use ribbon on my cards lately but I felt it adds to the festive feel. I popped up the focal panel with 3D foam tape and adhered it all to a white top folding card base. I used a bit of clear shimmer on Ruby’s dress and covered the flowers on the cake and the bow on the dress with glossy accents.

I hope you liked today’s inspiration and will check back soon for more!

See you,

Zsofi

Sweet square card with LDRS Creative

Hello Everyone,

I am here today with a sweet square card featuring the newly released Goody Gumdrops and Wordalicious stamp sets.

I started with placing 3 of the candies from the Goody Gumdrops stamp set in my stamp positioner and stamped them onto a white square panel cut to be 4*4 inches. Then I turned the panel upside down and stamped it again with Raven Hybrid ink. Then I filled the gaps on the sides with 2 of the candies.

I stamped the sentiment in the middle of the square panel from the Wordalicious stamp set. Then I coloured the images with alcohol markers.

I mounted the panel on an aqua striped patterned paper from the Candy Counter paper pad and adhered it to a 4.25*4.25 inches square card. I coated the candies with clear shimmer and embellished the card with some jewels in coordinating colours.

I hope you like my card and got inspired. Until next time, happy crafting!

Today I have a little tutorial for you on how to get a pretty yet simple and very colourful card design. The recipe is simple: take a piece of patterned paper, some matching Hybrid ink colours and the new Wordalicious stamp set.

I started with adhering a gorgeous rainbow hearts patterned paper from the Candy Counter paper pad to cover the entire A2 sized card front.

Then I selected ink pads which matched the hearts: Four Leaf, Bali Blue, Dark Wash Jeans, La La Lavender, Grape Ape and Lipstick Jungle. I arranged the words I wanted to use in my stamp positioner using a lined acetate sheet as helper to make sure the spacing is right. As I used the mini ink cubes, I could easily ink up each word with a different colour at once. The stamp positioner allowed me to stamp them 3 times to make the colours pop and dark enough. Then I cut the stamped panel down.

Then I die cut 2 different scallop border dies: one from dark blue and one from lavender cardstock, layered them on top of each other and adhered to the white stamped panel. It is an easy way to add a little extra to a simple design.

I love the result, it is easy to re-create, even to make multiples of. And it is so colourful, totally cheers me up!

I hope you liked today’s inspiration and you will hop along and comment to win. Here is the full list for today:

And now, lets dive in today’s card inspiration. I used the new Sweet Treats stamp set to create this simple design.

I started with stamping some of the treats on a white cardstock top and bottom. I used my Copics to add colour to them. I matted the panel with a slightly bigger black rectangle piece.

Then i stamped the label from the stamp set with Raven black ink and added a sentiment to it from the Wordalicious stamp set using Raven and Four Leaf Hybrid inks. I fussy cut it out and ran a black marker along the edges to make it look perfect.

I chose a green striped patterned paper from the Homemade happiness collection as the background, and also used the back side of it to cut a thin strip to hold the label i created earlier. I added a bit of clear shimmer and glossy accents on the treats and my card is finished.

Hop along and leave a comment so you could win!
