Hello, gullfriend

Hello Everyone,

I am popping in today with a last minute card for the current MFT Sketch Challenge #387.

MFTsketch387_01

I started with stamping an colouring the funny seagulls from the MFT Seaside seagulls set using Copic markers. I used the coordinating dies to cut them out, adorned them with funny google eyes and added glossy accent to their beaks.

MFTsketch387_02

For the background I masked off 3 stripes on Bristol Smooth paper using painter’s tape. I applied Distress inks (Blueprint Sketch, Mermaid Lagoon and Broken China). Then I taped down the MFT Abstract stencil and went back with the same inks. Before removing the stencil I sprayed it with Tsukineko Shimmer Spritz for a subtle sparkle.

MFTsketch387_03

When my panel was all dry I heat embossed in white 3 of the sentiments form the same stamp set.

MFTsketch387_05

Finally I used 3D foam squares to mount the seagulls and added some clouds too with liquid glue.

MFTsketch387_04

I will also link this up to the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge All things bright and beautiful and Wednesday Challenge Anything goes.

I hope you like this card and will join me next time too for more fun projects.

See you,

Zsofi

Mermazing birthday

Hello Everyone,

It is my second post today, as I wanted to share with you a mermazing birthday card I created for the current MFT sketch #384 and Colour challenge #93.

I created an alcohol inked background with blue, purple and mint alcohol inks. I spritzed it with a bit of rubbing alcohol for more texture. I adhered it to white card base and added a stitched rectangle frame.

MFTmermazing_01

Then I stamped and coloured the mermaid from the Mermazing stamp set. I used Copics, and the coordinating dies to cut it out. Added some glossy accent and some Stickles for the extra shine on the tail.

MFTmermazing_03

The seaweeds were stamped with matching colourful inks. I used Press and Seal to help with the arrangement and glued them in place on my card. The mermaid was popped up with 3D foam squares.

MFTmermazing_02

I also white heat embossed a sentiment on a strip of blue violet cardstock from the More essentials sentiments set. To finish it off I added some iridescent bubbles from Studio Katia.

MFTmermazing_04

MFTmermazing_05

I will upload this card to the MFT Sketch Challenge and Colour Challenge.

Hope you like my card and will check back tomorrow for some out of this world fun!

See you,

Mother’s Day Florals

Hello Everyone,

It is my second post today as I wanted to play along the MFT Sketch #381and Colour Challenge #91 this week.

I started with creating my background on Bristol Smooth paper. I sponged some pink distress inks with a light hand and then used a stencil and heavier hand to add more texture. I distressed it with water, added some pink splatters.

MFTflower_MD_01

Then I die cut 5 times the Chain circle frame and layered them together using spray adhesive.

MFTflower_MD_04

I stamped, die cut and coloured with Copics some flowers from the Buildable Bouquet set. I added them inside the frame using 3D foam squares. I covered the petals with a clear shimmer pen, added some glossy accent and a golden glass pearl.

MFTflower_MD_03

The sentiment I heat embossed in white on a thin strip of black cardstock. A few mini white pearls finished it off.

MFTflower_MD_02

I will link this project up on the MFT Colour Challenge #91, MFT Sketch Challenge #381, Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge Sparkle and shine and Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Flower Power.

I hope you like my card and will return soon for more inspiration.

See you,

Wishing you unicorns – MFT

Unicorn_FB.jpg

Hello Everyone,

Today is my first card of the Unicorn Themed Card-Series, inspired by the MFT Sketch Challenge #379.

Here is my card:

MFT_unicorn_01

I started with the Cloudy sky stencil, I sponged distress inks on Bristol Smooth cardstock. I used Cracked Pistachio, Mermaid Lagoon and Blueprint Sketch to make the colourful clouds. After removing the stencil I sponged the same inks on the background for an ombre effect. I added water and ink droplets for more texture. I placed the stencil back and sprayed Altenew Iridescent ink spray over it for a subtle sparkle.

MFT_unicorn_05

Then I stamped and coloured some images from the Magical Unicorns Birdie Brown stamp set. I used the coordinating dies to cut them out.

MFT_unicorn_03

I added some dotted details, some Tonic Aqua Shimmer and glossy accent on some areas.

MFT_unicorn_04

The sentiment I white heat embossed on a strip of black cardstock, and die cut a puffy cloud border at a diagonal to follow the sketch.

MFT_unicorn_02

When assembling the card I used 3D foam tape for more dimension on the upper half of the card.

MFT_unicorn_06

I will link this project to the MFT Sketch Challenge #379 and to the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge Happy Birthday

Thanks so much for popping in and I hope you will follow the rest of my mini card series in April.

See you soon,

Zsofi

Somebunny wishes you

Hello Again,

It is my second post today, as always I am in the last minute to post my card for the MFT sketch challenge #374.

I love the simplicity of the sketch, this is my take on it:

MFTSketch374_02

I selected a pretty flower patterned paper first to know how to colour the cute images from the MFT Somebunny stamp set. It is an older one but I just got it recently. These bunnies are so cute! I used Copics to colour them and die cut them with the coordinating dies.

MFTSketch374_03

Then I set the scene: I cut a stitched rounded rectangle frame and used a stitched cloud background die on the inner panel. Then I sponged some Tattered Rose distress oxide ink on it to match the warm feel of the card. I stamped part of the sentiment on it using pink ink.

MFTSketch374_05

I used green patterned paper for the grass and cut another 2 layers of the frame to make it more dimensional. After assembling the scene I stamped the rest of the sentiment in black under it.

MFTSketch374_04

As a finishing touch I used a black glaze pen on the eyes, some white dots on the cheeks with a gel pen and I added stickles on the middle of the little flowers.

MFTsketch374_01

I will upload this project to the MFT Sketch Challenge #374 and the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge Anything Goes.

Thanks for spending time with me and hope to see you in my crafty corner again soon.

Hugs,

Zsofi

Wild birthday

Hello Everyone,

I am popping in with some clean and simple cards I made for the current MFT Sketch Challenge.

MFT_wild_birthday_01

I used the Wild about you stamp set, coloured with Copics and die cut with the coordinating dies. I stamped the sentiment also on a die cut banner (retired MFT die set) using the same black ink.

MFT_wild_birthday_04

MFT_wild_birthday_07

Then I die cut a stitched rectangle using pretty gingham patterned paper (MFT), a stitched scalloped circle frame from white and coloured cardstock and a vellum circle. I layered these on top of each other and adhered to the patterned paper.

MFT_wild_birthday_05

I popped up the critters with foam tape in the middle of the circle frames. I love how the vellum tones down the gingham pattern in the background. I used 3D foam also on the sides of the banners and embellished them with crystal gems.

MFT_wild_birthday_03

To finish the coloured images, I used a white gel pen to add some details, a black glaze pen on the eyes and glossy accents on the nose and dots of the giraffe.

MFT_wild_birthday_08

I will upload these to the MFT Sketch Challenge #373.

MFT_wild_birthday_06

MFT_wild_birthday_02

I hope you like my cards and you will be back tomorrow for some Newton’s Nook fun!

See you,

MFT Creative Olympics – Crafty Biathlon

Hello Everyone,

I am back today with my last card for the MFT Creative Olympics. Event #3 is called Crafty Biathlon and we had to choose a technique and a card type to make our projects.

From the list I chose Emboss Resist and Shaker, here is my card:

20180218_153649 wm

I stamped the Watercolor stripes background stamp with Versamark ink on Bristol Smooth cardstock and used Hero Arts White satin pearl embossing powder. After heat setting it, I added Distress Oxides (Candied Apple, Spiced Marmalade and Fossilized Amber) to have a gradient effect. I die cut a stitched rectangle and also the word You. I used black Staz-on ink to stamp my sentiment on the embossed part.

20180218_153405 wm

I backed the panel with acetate and created my shaker wells using 3D foam tape. I separated the letters as I wanted to add 3 different coloured microbeads along with some red heart sequins to match the distress oxide inks I used. I glued the card base on the panel and my shaker was ready.

20180218_153603 wm

First I thought I would add die cut flowers to the front but then I came across the little sheep from Ewe are the best set and had to use that. I coloured it with Copics and added glossy accent to the heart and used a black glaze pen on the hooves and eye.

20180218_153700 wm

I will submit this card to the MFT Creative Olympics Challenge and to the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge Add a die cut.

Thank you so much for popping in, please check back tomorrow for the new Inky Paws Challenge inspiration.

See you,

Zsofi

MFT Creative Olympics – Speed Cardmaking

Hello Again,

It is my second post today as I wanted to catch up with the MFT Creative Olympics Challenges. Event #4 is all about speed, the task is to make a card within 20mins.

20180217_142814 wm

As I am slow in colouring, I designed a card with die cutting only. I planned everything in advance (usually I don’t), prepared all cardstock and dies and stamps. Then I set the timer and got started.

20180217_142844 wm

I die cut the deer from brown cardstock 3 times and the antlers from kraft 3 times. I adhered them together using a glue pen to make it fast. I die cut a stitched rectangle from white cardstock and added the stitching detail with the Die-namics Stitched Strips die. I also die cut the Fabulous word from glitter cardstock and glued it to the stitched panel along with the deer.

20180217_142954 wm

Then I stamped the rest of the sentiment around the die cut word, gave the whole panel a teal mat and adhered it to my card base.

20180217_142859 wm

I ran out of time so I kept the embellishments to the minimum, only one little gem on the nose and my card was done. Just within 20mins.

20180217_142827 wm

I will upload this project to the MFT Creative Olympics Challenge Speed Cardmaking, and to the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge Add a die cut.

I hope you like it and will return tomorrow to see my last card for the Creative Olympics.

See you then,

Zsofi

MFT Creative Olympics – Freestyle

Hello Everyone,

I am back today with 2 posts for the MFT Creative Olympics, The first one is my entry to the Freestyle challenge.

The task is to make a winter card. Here is mine:

20180217_143928 wm

I had  a fun alcohol inked background from an earlier creative session, which I was longing to put on a card. So I kept it simple. Stamped and coloured the little girl from the Warmest wishes (retired) set, used the coordinating die to cut it. I also cut a chained scalloped oval from white cardstock to glue around the girl.

20180217_143838 wm

Then I white heat embossed a sentiment from the set on a thin strip of black cardstock (I used a die from Blueprint 22 to cut it thin) and popped it up with 3D foam tape.

20180217_143823 wm

As a finishing touch I used stickles and glossy accents, and added some white dots with a Gelly roll pen. A few sparkling clear snowflakes I just had to add to make it really wintery.

20180217_143907 wm

I will upload this project to the MFT Freestyle Challenge, to the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge Add a die cut.

I hope you like my card and will return soon for more inspiration.

See you,

Zsofi

Tons of love

love themed logo

Hello Again,

This is my second post today, for the IPC#65 inspiration click the link.

I usually play along with MFT Sketch Challenges but not really the Color ones. This week though I fell in love with the colours, so I decided to make a card which fits both.

20180211_220105 wm

I started with die cutting some mod rectangle frames (I temporarily adhered 2 together with little pieces of micropore tape) from black & white patterned paper. I used a pencil to mark where these squares would go on my card base an sponged some Spun Sugar distress ink before adhering the frames.

20180211_220211 wm

Then I die cut a pierced heart from dark pink cardstock and heat embossed a sentiment in white on a piece of black cardstock using the Happy Hippos Birdie Brown stamp. I cut it in a banner shape and popped it up with 3D foam tape on the heart.

20180211_220153 wm

I stamped and coloured a hippo and a bird from the above mentioned set, I used Copic markers, some dot technique for more texture and a white gel pen for more details. I also emphasized the eyes with a black glaze pen and used glossy accents on the beak and the nose. I scattered a few clear and pink jewels all around.

20180211_220344 wm

I will link this project up to the MFT Sketch Challenge #371 and Colour Challenge #87Colour Challenge #87, also to the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge (It must be love).

Thank you so much for your visit and hope to see you again soon.
