Heffy Doodle New Release Reveals – Day 4

Hello Everyone,

Today is the last day of the new release reveals at Heffy Doodle and I have a quite clean and simple design to showcase today’s goodies. If you are curious to see all the stamps, dies and stencils revealed today, please visit the Heffy Doodle blog.

The new items will be available for pre-orders from 1st Sept, the release goes live on the 8th Sept. And don’t forget that there is a free stamp set with every pre-order!

For my card today I die cut a whole bunch of the new Forest Leaves dies from textured white cardstock and randomly adhered them on a white stitched rectangle. I love clean and simple cards but I struggle with keeping them really simple: I had to add some splatters on the panel. I used the Finetec Pearlescent colours: aqua, silver and black.

While it was drying I die cut the Awesome Shadow Heffy Cuts die from Simply Teal-icious cardstock 3 times and the shadow of the word from Oyster Shell cardstock. I also cut the largest stitched rectangle from the grey and a bit smaller mat from the teal for a layered look.

I white heat embossed a sentiment from Superdudes on a thin black cardstock strip and adhered it above the die cut one.

I wish you enjoyed the last couple of days full of inspiration with the new release. Now it is time to get your shopping lists ready and shop, shop, shop!

See you soon,

Zsofi

Heffy Doodle New Release Reveals – Day 3

Hello Everyone,

I am back today with another inspirattion with the new goodies from Heffy Doodle. This new release is fantastic and so rich! If you are curious to see all the stamps, dies and stencils revealed today, please visit the Heffy Doodle blog.

The new items will be available for pre-orders from 1st Sept, the release goeas live on the 8th Sept. And don’t forget that there is a free stamp set with every preorder!

As school is starting tomorrow here in Hungary, I wanted to create some little bookmarks which I can hide in my kids’ lunchbox. The new Tiny Tag Trio dies have the perfect size for that! I cut a bunch of them as I wanted to layer 3 together to make it sturdy – we all know how kids handle their school stuff!

On the front of the bookmarks I stamped the little pencil from Just a note repeatedly. I used my MISTI for that and this way it was super easy. When I was done, I coloured them with Spectrum Noir Illustrator markers. The rainbow of colours I used are: DR5, DR3, DR1, BO4, BO3, BO1, CT4, CT3, CT1, AG3, AG2, AG1, GT3, GT1, BT7, BT5, BT3, TB5, TB3, TB1, HB3, HB2, HB1, MG4, MG3, MG1.

On the other side I stamped a sentiment from the Very Vertical Greetings set, on one of them I also added an extra one from Homeschool Heros. I cannot wait to find more sentiments in my Heffy Doodle stash which fit this tag!

After clouring the letters I adhered the layers together with Glubert and I was all done! I hope my kids will enjoy this little kindness on their first day of school!

Thanks for spending time with me and hope you will come back tomorrow for the last day of the reveals.

See you,

Zsofi

Heffy Doodle New Release Reveals – Day 2

Hello Everyone,

I am back with Day 2 of the new release reveals of Heffy Doodle, if you are curious of all the stamps/dies and stencils revealed today, please visit the Heffy Doodle blog. I am showcasing a couple of stamps and dies: Flying High, Slimline Quartet, Big Stitched clouds, Get Well Soon Shadow Heffy cuts, Get Well Soon Greetings stamp.

The new items will be available for pre-orders from 1st Sept, the release goeas live on the 8th Sept. And don’t forget that there is a free stamp set with every preorder!

For my card I stamped and oloured a couple of birds from Flying High, I used Spectrum Noir Illustrator markers. The colours I used are the following: TB5, TB3, TB1, IB2, IB1, CT3. I used the coordinating dies to cut them out.

While I was die cutting I also cut the other elements for my sky scene: the Big Stitched Clouds from vellum and the HUGS word from the Slimline Quartet die set from black cardstock. I also die cut the Get Well Soon word from blue cardstock and a stitched white frame with the Slimline Quartet set.

Now it was time to make the sky backgrund. On a 3,5*8,5 piece of white cardstock I blended Blueprint Sketch, Salty Ocean and Salvaged Patina Distress Oxide inks. I added a lot of splatters: water, diluted ink, black distress ink and white acrylic paint. I love the texture I achieve like this. I made sure the panel was dry before I die cut it with another new die set called Silly Slimline Slants.

I assembled the card on a slim card base using the frame, birds and the letters to hold the vellum clouds. I also added the hand written die cut sentiment over the big letters, it looks so cool.

I embellished the card with some sparkly stars from Studio Katia and also stamped an extra sentiment from the Get Well Greetings set on the inside of the card and added a little bird there too with a couple of stars.

I hope you enjoyed today’s inspiration and you will come back tomorrow for more fun!

See you,

Heffy Doodle New Release Reveals – Day 1

Hello Eveyrone,

I am so excited to share with you that Heffy Doodle is having an awesome new release, you may have seen sneak peeks on their blog in the last couple of days. As of today we reveal the new stamps and dies, which means I have some fun planned every day here on my blog. For the product details please visit the Heffy Doodle Blog. The new items will be available for pre-orders from 1st Sept, the release goeas live on the 8th Sept. Isn’t it wonderful news?

Today’s inspiration showcases the Zig-a-zig Ah Chevron dies, the new Woohoo Shadow Heffy Cuts and the new incentive set called Mole Lotta Love. It is a gift with every pre-order, and if you spend more than 45 GBP, you get the coordinating dies too.

First I stamped the little moles and the rose from Mole Lotta Love and also the little heap from Hot Diggity Dog on alcohol friendly cardstock. For the heap, I masked off the dog with Heffy Tape, inked the stamp, removed the tape and stamped the heap only. It is a fun way to get more out of your stamps. I used Spectrum Noir Illustrator markers to colour them. The list of colours I used: BG9, BG7, BG5, BG2, BG1, FS8, FS7, DG4, DG2, DR5, DR3, DR1, EB5, EB3, RB2.

I cut everything with the coordinating dies ad while I was at die cutting I also cut a Stitched Heart to hold my scene. I inked it with Picked Raspberry and Kitch Flamingo Distress Oxide inks and sprinkled them with water and diluted ink. I adhered the moles, they look super cute!

I wanted to build a nice chevron pattern on my card base so I took 2 dies from the Zig-a-zig Ah Chevron die set and cut them from Heffy Cardstock. I used only greys and black to match the moles. I adhered them on a white A2 card base and popped up the heart with 3D foam squares.

For the sentiment I die cut the Woohoo Heffy cuts from light grey and white cardstock. The word itself I cut 3 times and adhered them together for instant dimension. I inked it with Picked Raspberry Distress Oxide ink before adding the shadow. I also heat embossed the sentiment from the Mole Lotta Love set and popped it up under the die cut sentiment.

As a finishing touch I used a black glaze pen on the eyes and glossy accents on the woohoo.

I hope you enjoyed my inspiration and will pop in for more fun tomorrow!

See you,

Zsofi

Newton’s Nook Designs August Release – DAY 2

Hello Everyone,

It is Day 2 of the August Release reveals at Newton’s Nook Designs, today we are showcasing some new kitty stamps: Count Newton and Trick or Treat Kittens. Both adorable sets have coordinating dies too!

All new products will be available on Friday, 20th August.

CARD 1

When I saw the Count Newton stamp set I was giddy as I immediately imagined a graveyard night scene. As I never do scary cards, these images are just perfect for my scenes. So I stamped and coloured a few gravestones and Mr. Meow-cula keeping the colour combos restricted to greys and purple. I used Spectrum Noir Illustrator markers: BG9, BG7, BG4, BG2, BG1, PL4, PL3, PL2, HB1, FS7. I cut everything with the coordinating dies.

For the night sky I used Nuvo Shimmer Powders on Ranger Distress Watercolour cardstock. I simply added drops of Storm Cloud and Lilac Waterfall and spritzed it with water. Let the colours mix and dried it with my heat tool. I repeated the process another time to make the colours darker. I love the subtle shimmer it gives to a perfect night sky! I used water and white acrylic paint splatters to add some texture and when it was dry, I cut it down with the postage stamp die from Frameworks.

While I was die cutting I cut a Fence from woodgrain cardstock and grass with a Land Border die from black cardstock. I distressed it w bit with white pigment ink and assembled the scene. I needed some clouds so I die cut somefrom vellum with the Sky Scene Builder set, and used the bats to attach them to the card front.

The sentiment I stamped on a light purple Speech Bubble, like our vampire kitty is talking to us. So fun! As a finishing touch I added some clear shimmer to the gown and glossy accents to the gravestones.

CARD 2

For my second card as always I started with stamping and colouring the adorable little kitties and a ton of candies from Trick or Treat Kitten. I used Spectrum Noir Illustrator markers: cats: BG9, BG7, BG5, BG2, BG1, FS7, FS4, paperbag: MB4, MB3, MB1, pumpkin: GB9, BO4, BO3, BO1, IG10, IG7, candies: BO4, BO3, BO1, CT4, CT3, CT1, CG3, CG2, CG1, PL4, PL3, PL2, BG1. I used the coordinating dies to cut them all out.

I had a slimline design in mind so I die cut the scalloped base from patterned paper and the frame from black cardstock using the 2 slimline die sets: Slimline Frames and Portholes and Slimline Frames and Windows. I backed the frame with vellum so it muted the vibrancy of the patterned paper and popped up the kitties with 3D foam squares.

The sentiments I stamped on yellow circles which I trimmed down – I felt it matched the pumpkin shapes and gave some extra to the design. I scattered the extra candies all around and used glossy accents on them to make them shiny. A little clear shimmer I added to the witch hats too.

Newton’s Nook Designs August Release – DAY 1

Hello Everyone,

I am thrilled to announce that we have a new release from Newton’s Nook Designs this month and it is full of Fall and Halloween cuties. So this week you are going to see my blog changing seasons (summer lovers don’t worry, I still have some summer cards planned before real Fall hits us). I love to make Autumn cards with its different colour combos. Today our Design Team showcases a fun new stamp/die set: Brooms and Boos and a fantastic new layering stencil which allows you to make your own Candy Corn backgrounds.

All new products will be available on Friday, 20th August.

CARD 1

For my first card I used my favourite witch from the new Brooms and Boos stamp set: I stamped the image and the moon on alcohol ink friendly cardstock and used my Spectrum Noir Illustrator markers to colour her. The colours I used are the following: skin: FS8, FS7 hair: TN9, GB9, GB7, GB4 broom: GB7, GB4, GB2, MB3, MB1 dress: DP3, HB3, HB2, HB1 hat&shoes: IG10, IG6, IG2 moon: CT3, CT1, LY1. I used the coordinating dies to cut them out.

I imagined a simple night scene, so I die cut the postage edge die (Framework die set) from Bristol Smooth cardstock and masked off the edges and the bottom third of the panel with Purple Tape. I blended in Wilted Violet Distress ink and a bit of Black Sooth on the edges. I sprinkled it with water and diluted purple, white and black inks. I just love the texture, I cannot help it!

Then I added a very thin strip of silver cardstock on the bottom line and stamped the sentiment on the white part. I popped up the witch with 3D foam squares and adhered the moon too. I wanted some bats on the sky so I simply stamped them directly on the distressed background.

I decided to add another sentiment white heat embossed on a black circle (Circle Frames die set). I adhered the whole panel on a black top folding card base and used glossy accents as a finishing touch to emphasize some deails on the coloured image.

CARD 2

For my second card I played with the fun new Cady Corn layering stencil on a dark grey cardstock. For the first layer I used Carved Pumpkin Distress Oxide ink, for the second Squeezed Lemonde and simple white pigment ink for the last layer. It gives such a subtle pattern as the colours are muted on a dark cardstock, totally cool!

When it was dry I cut the panel down with the scalloped rectangle die from Frames and Flags. While I was at die cutting I also cut a white tag, a topping and a reinforcer using the Fancy Edges die set. I love to use tags as my focal panel when I don’t want to overrule a fun background.

After assembling the tag I stamped, coloured and die cut another witch from the Brooms and Boos set using Spectrum Noir Illustrator markers: pumpkin: GB9, BO4, BO3, BO1, CT3 witch: FS8, FS7, GB7, GB4, CT3, CT1, LY1 dress&accessories: IG10, IG6, AG4, AG2, AG1.

I popped up the witch with 3D foam squares and stamped two sentiments on an orange banner (Frames and Flags). I used some gold gems as embellisments and added some clear shimmer and glossy accents to the dress of the witch.

Newton’s Nook Designs 8 Year Celebration

Hello Everyone,

Today I am excited to be part of  the 8 year anniversary celebration with Newton’s Nook Designs! To celebrate this awesome milestone, Newton’s Nook Designs has released adorable new cupcake themed products, which I will be sharing on my projects today. There are prizes too! Read all the way to the end of this post to find out how you can win!

Here are my projects:

CARD 1

For the first card I have stamped Newton’s Cupcake on white alcohol ink friendly cardstock and the main image once more on patterned paper. I coloured the kitty and the topping with Spectrum Noir Illustrator markers, here is a lost of colours I used: BG9, BG7, BG5, BG4, BG2, BG1, DR5, DR3, DR1, GB4, GB2, MB1, BT7, VB1, BT1, EB5, EB3.

I used the coordinating dies to cut the coloured images and fussy cut the cupcake holder which I stamped on patterned paper. I added some shading to this and adhered it on the top of the coloured image. It looks so fun! I also stamped a sentiment on the cupcake itself, I love how it looks!

To assemble the scene I die cut a scalloped rectangle (Frames and Flags die set) from the same patterned paper which I used for the cupcake and the rounded rectangle from aother patterned paper. All papers are from the Hello Sunshine Remix paper pad from Lawn Fawn. I added this a dark grey cardstock mat and assembled the scene.

I white heat embossed an extra sentiment from the Heartfelt blooms stamp set on a teal banner and popped it up with 3D foam tape. I used the Balloon Shaker dies to die cut some festive embellisments and added glossy accents to the cherries and sprinkles.

CARD 2

For my second card I wanted the stenciled backgroud to be in the focus. I used the first layer of the Cupcake stencil on Fog cardstock with Peacock Feathers Distress Oxide ink, but I masked off the cupcake toppings. I wanted those to be brown, so I used Ground Espresso on those parts. A small blending brush was helping me to get it done easily. For the second layer I used Kitch Flamingo and for the third I mixed Picked Raspberry with Ranger Texture Paste so it has some dimension.

When the panel was dry I cut it down a little to fit inside a postage edge rectangle which I cut with the Frameworks die from teal cardstock.

The sentiment is white heat embossed on a stitched banner (Banner Trio dies). It is from Heartfelt Blooms, I love this set for all the sentiments too.

Popping by – Heffy Doodle

Hello Everyone,

Welcome to another edition of my Perfect Combos series for Heffy Doodle. May is a birthday heavy month in my family and I thought I would show you an sweet interactive card today made with stamps and dies from the new release. Usually I am intimidated from interactive cards but the new slider pop-up is super easy even if you are not an experienced crafter. Let me guide you through the process.

Pre-orders are open and all order get a freebie stamp – if you spend above 45 GBP you even get the coordinating die!

First I stamped and coloured the images from the Popping by stamp set using Copic markers. I went with cheerful, rather girlish colours but I cannot wait to make the same with more masculine colours too. I die cut all with the coordinating dies and assembled the little present using Glubert.

Then I created the interactive part: first I die cut the stitched frame from patterned paper and also from light blue cardstock. I cut off the “flap” of the patterned paper one so all I had left was a frame. I adhered it to the blue panel with Glubert and folded the flap at the crease lines.

I embellished the flap: added a thin Oyster Shell strip to the bottom until the first crease line and popped up the coloured image right above using 3D foam tape. I made sure to adhere only the present and let the balloons be free of adhesive so the mechanism could work properly. I needed the insert piece which I die cut from white cardstock, and adhered the bottom of the blue flap to it (until the first crease line). The top of the insert I embellished with a small die from the Slimline Pull Tab dies: I cut the stitched part from Banana Split and the arrow from Ice blast cardstock scraps.

The first half of the sentiment I stamped directly on the top of the blue flap using a Catherine Pooler ink. The other half of the sentiment I stamped directly on the white card base. To ensure the right placement I put the frame on the card base in my Misti, in this way I could see where the sentiment had to be.

Finally it was time to assemble the interactive part: I put thick 3D foam strips on the back of the frame in a U shape, leaving the top free. I adhered it to the card base and it was all done! So easy! As a finishing touch I covered the balloons with clear shimmer and added glossy accents to the ribbon. I also adhered a bunch of blue star sequins to the background to make it even more festive!

I hope you enjoyed today’s Perfect Combo and will check back later for more inspiration. If you like my cards, please make sure to follow me on Instagram where I share my happy creations! Thank you!

See you soon,

Heffy Doodle New Release – Day 4

Hello Everyone,

It is the last day of the New Release reveals at Heffy Doodle, but still so many new products are being introduced on the Heffy Doodle Blog. It is definitely worth to check!

Pre-orders are open from today and don’t forget: with every pre-order you can get a freebie stamp, and if your order is above 45GBP you will receive even the coordinating dies! Wohoo!

My inspiration for you today is a cute, layered design with a lot of texture.

First I started with ink blending through the Balloon Room stencil on Bristol Smooth cardstock with Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide ink. Then I shifted the stencil and added a second layer of balloons with Salty Ocean Distress Oxide ink. I shifted again and for the last layer I applied Brilliant Blue Glitz Glitter Gel from Thermoweb using a stencil pal. I removed the stencil, cleaned it right away and set the panel aside to dry.

Meanwhile I stamped and coloured the cute fox and party hat from the Popping by stamp set using Copic markers. I used the coordinating dies to cut them out.

While I was at die cutting I also cut the Happy Birthday Shadow die from glitter cardstock and its shadow from blue.

When the stenciled background was dry I trimmed it down a little and added black and gold splatters. I dried it with my heat tool, adhered the sentiment and popped up the fox with thin 3D foam tape. I added an orange mat to the panel before adhering it to a white card base.

As a finishing touch I used a black glaze pen on the eyes, glossy accents on the nose and party hat too.

I hope you enjoyed today’s inspiration with the new release and will come back soon for more!

See you,

Zsofi
