I promised to show you the home décor project I have made for my crafty corner recently using Spellbinders products.
I stamped the Tammy Tutterow What I Make With My Hands stamp on canvas from the Spellbinders Platinum Pack 1 set. I used Gina K Amalgam ink and lightly dabbed some Copic markers on the letters in a rainbow order. I added some shading too.
When it was all done, I adhered some Gold Jewels from Studio Katia to the middle of the flowers for an extra bling.
I placed the canvas in an Ikea Ribba frame (23cm*23cm), it fits perfectly.
Thank you for your visit, I hope you got inspired and will make your own home décor on canvas.
See you soon,
I am here today to show you how you can use alternative materials also for cardmaking, like wood.
I have recently got the Stephanie Low One of a Kind stamp and die set from Spellbinders. I love rubber stamps so much, they stamp so sharp and clean. I wanted to try to stamp on wood, and the balsa wood included in the Spellbinders Platinum Pack 5 is light enough to be added to a card. I used my Misti for stamping (I had to remove the foam pad as rubber stamps are thicker than the clear ones), but I got beautiful impression for the first time already. I used Gina K Amalgam ink (my new favourite) and to make the black deeper, I repeated the stamping once more. I used Copic markers and a cautious dabbing motion to apply a bit of colour.
I cut down the wood piece with my Tim Holtz trimmer. It makes the edge a bit ragged, but I love the look, it adds to the natural wood-feel. I made a black mat for it and die cut a Nestabilities Fleur de Lis rectangle from gold foiled cardstock. I mounted it all on a peach card base to match the flower.
As a finishing touch I added some glossy accents to some of the leaves and a golden mini pearl to the centre of the flower.
I hope you like my card and got inspired to try alternative materials on your cards. See you tomorrow with a fun home décor project I made for my craft corner.
