‘Till Death Do Us Craft Collaboration – card #2

Hello Everyone,

I am back with my second card for the ‘Till Death Do Us Craft collaboration, which is a month long event with some other crafty girls to share a Halloween inspiration for you. If you want to see our projects, just use the #tilldeathdouscraft tag to search on social media.

I started with the background using the Echo Park Trick or treat stencil on Bristol Smooth cardstock. I used Hickory Smoke and Black Soot Distress Oxide inks. To make sure that this intricate stencil stays in place while I am ink blending, I used Pixie Spray on the back of the stencil. It makes wonders, just make sure to wait 30 seconds at least before adhering it to the paper to ensure the perfect stickiness. After removing the stencil I added some grey and black splatters and also some white acrylic paint splatters. I set it aside to dry and then die cut it with the Wonky Stitches die from Avery Elle.

I also die cut a Honey Bee Stamps The name’s Jack ghost from black cardstock and from glittered white. On the latter I used the small dies to cut eyes and mouth too. Then I layered them on top of each other. So cute!

The sentiment is a mixture of the Simon Says Stamp Boo die set (cut from black and purple cardstocks 3 times) and the Simon Says Stamp Creepy cute stamp set from which I white heat embossed an additional line on a thin black strip.

After assembling the card, I embellished it with Studio Katia Exotic Onyx Pearls, which brought back the purple shades a little.

I hope you enjoyed this cute Halloween inspiration and will pop in again soon for more fun!

See you,

Zsofi

Heffy Doodle and Studio Katia Blog Hop

Hello Everyone,

I am thrilled to be part of a wonderful collaboration Blog Hop with two of my favourite companies. Heffy Doodle and Studio Katia have teamed up to bring you a ton of new inspiration. And there are prizes to win! YAY!

I have 2 birthday cards for you today, let’s dive in the details!

CARD 1

As always I started with stamping and colouring the crocodile from the Happy Snappy Crocs from Heffy Doodle using Copic markers and cut it out with the coordinating die.

I used the Dotted Shaker Tag 2 die from Studio Katia to cut an aqua, yellow and a pink tag. From the yellow one I cut the grass with a Grassy Lass border die from Heffy Doodle. While I was at die cutting I also cut a piece of vellum using the rectangle from Studio Katia Dotted Patterns Set 1.

For the background I chose a dotted patterned paper from Doodlebug Designs and matted it with hot pink cardstock. I assembled the tag as on the picture, used a white eyelet for the top and added green twine to it. I popped up the croc with 3D foam squares and stamped a small sentiment on the very top of the tag from the same stamp set.

The rest of the sentiment I white heat embossed on black cardstock and cut them down to very narrow strips which I adhered hanging off the tag.

I finished the card with a sprinkle of Rainbow Dots Glitter from Studio Katia. It makes it so festive and matches the patterned paper too!

CARD 2

On my second card I went underwater 🙂 I stamped and coloured images from the Heffy Doodle Shellabrate and Oceans of Love sets and used their coordinating dies to cut them out.

I applied Blueprint Sketch and Salty Ocean Distress Oxide inks with a light hand on Bristol Smooth cardstock. Then I used the same coloured just over the Wave to me stencil. I repeated the process after shifting the stencil a bit. This way I got the perfect wavy background which I sprinkled with pearlized water for more texture.

I used the Seashell shaker die from Studio Katia to cut into the background and I also cut another one from blue violet cardstock for the thin frame. I adhered a piece of acetate on the back of the panel to create a shaker window.

I also die cut sand with the Heffy Doodle Stitched Slopey Joes dies and added Antique Linen and Gathered Twigs Distress Oxide inks with a blending brush. I splattered the sand dune with diluted inks and white acrylic paint so it really looks like sand! I stamped a sentiment on the bottom of it from Shellabrate. The rest of the sentiment is from Oceans of Love which I white heat embossed in black cardstock and cut them into very thin strips.

I assembled the scene and added 3D foam strips to the back of it. On a white notecard I sponged a little Salty Ocean Distress Oxide and added some Chunky Dots Glitter and July Crystals and Poseidon Crystals from Studio Katia for the shaker part.

After the shaker was ready I used the same jewels to embellish the front of the card too. I also added glossy accents to the turtles and the starfish and used a black glaze pen on their eyes.

When the tooth fairy comes… – Heffy Doodle

Hello Everyone,

Welcome to another edition of my Perfect Combos series for Heffy Doodle. I believe that every little milestone in our lives should be recognized and celebrated, and losing the first milk tooth is just as important in a child’s life as a birthday. For this cheerful event I created a memory card featuring the super cute Absotoothly awesome stamp set with some  very versatile dies and the Simply radiant stencil (one of my favourites of all). Let’s dive in the details!

I stamped and coloured the two fairies with their magic wands using Copic markers and cut them out with the coordinating dies. While I was at die cutting I also cut the Tooth plush die 2 times from white cardstock. I layered them on top of each other for a sturdier look. The eyes and mouth I cut from coloured cardstock scraps and adhered them to the big tooth. So cute!

The background I created directly on a top folding A2 sized white card base. I sponged some Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide ink all over and then using the Simply Radiant stencil I added the first layer with Mermaid Lagoon Distress Oxide ink. Then I turned the stencil a bit and added a second layer with Blueprint Sketch Distress Oxide ink. When I removed the stencil I just kept smiling, it looks gorgeous!

To make the tooth the focal point of the card I added a double layer vellum circle and a Skinny circle frame cut from blue violet cardstock. Then I adhered every element in place using drops of liquid glue or thin 3D foam squares.

The sentiment I white heat embossed from the Roundabout sentiments set on a Curved banner cut from blue cardstock. I stamped a small sentiment under the banner in black, it is from the More classic sentiments set.

I finished this cute card with a touch of clear shimmer on the wings of the fairies and a bunch of 3mm clear sequins from Studio Katia. Isn’t it the perfect way to keep a memory?

I hope you enjoyed today’s Perfect Combo and will check back later for more inspiration. If you like my cards, please make sure to follow me on Instagram where I share my happy creations! Thank you!

Fairy sweet birthday ft Heffy Doodle

Hello Everyone,

I have a cute birthday card for you today featuring stamps and dies from Heffy Doodle. I love how the different sets coordinate! I mixed up some older and newer stamps on this adorable design.

I started with stamping and colouring the fairies from Absotooth-ly awesome and from the Party Palooza stamp sets (the latter is deeply discounted, check it out in the Heffy Doodle shop!) I used Copic markers and cut everything out with their coordinating dies.

I created a Distress Oxide inked background using Salty Ocean and Blueprint Sketch Oxide inks and an ink blending tool. I added some Tsukinko Shimmer Spritz droplets and also splattered some white acrylic paint all over for a textured look.

Then I used the Silver Lining Cloud border dies and cut it from white and also from silver glitter cardstock. I layered them on top of each other tiny offset. I love the little silver lining we get in this way!

The sentiment I stamped with pink ink (Gina K Designs) and it is from the Everyday Sentiment Duos set.

I assembled the card and popped up the cake with the two fairies with 3D foam squares. I added Diamond Stickles to the wings of the fairies and the flame of the candles and covered the frosting on the cake with glossy accents. It looks so yummy in real life!

I also scattered a few silver jewels from Studio Katia on the cloud border.

I will link this up to the Simon Says Stamp IG Challenge (Die cutting) and also to the SSS Wednesday Challenge (Anything goes).

I hope you enjoyed today’s card and will be back soon for more inspiration.

See you,

Zsofi

Sending you oceans of love

Hello Everyone,

I am back from a mini vacation with my kids and my parents, we had a gorgeous relaxing time together in a small city in East-Hungary. I feel so recharged and still fully in summer mood 😀

HeffyDoodle_ocean_01

Today I want to show you an ocean-themed card I made with Heffy Doodle products. I just simply adore their designs, so cute!

HeffyDoodle_ocean_06

I started with sponging very lightly Distress inks on Bristol Smooth cardstock: Salty ocean, Peacock Feathers and Blueprint sketch. Then I placed the Bubble Waves stencil over it and went back with the same inks. Before removing it I sprayed Tsukineko Shimmer Mist all over for a subtle sparkle.

HeffyDoodle_ocean_05

I stamped and coloured the images from the Oceans of love stamp set using Copic markers. I added some dotted details too for a textured look. Using the coordinating dies I die cut them out.

HeffyDoodle_ocean_04

I also heat embossed a sentiment (from the same stamp set) in white on the stencilled background.

HeffyDoodle_ocean_03

I added a doubled up frame with double stitching (Poppy stamps). I created my ocean scene with adhering the coloured images with liquid glue. As a final touch I added some white gel pen dots to the cheeks, black glaze pen on their eyes and glossy accents on the stones and the star. A few iridescent bubbles from Studio Katia finished off this cheerful summer card.

HeffyDoodle_ocean_02

I will upload this project to the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge Anything goes.

Hope you like my card an will return soon for more fun!

See you soon,

Home décor with canvas

Hello Everyone,

I promised to show you the home décor project I have made for my crafty corner recently using Spellbinders products.

Spellbinders_TT_01

I stamped the Tammy Tutterow What I Make With My Hands stamp on canvas from the Spellbinders Platinum Pack 1 set. I used Gina K Amalgam ink and lightly dabbed some Copic markers on the letters in a rainbow order. I added some shading too.

Spellbinders_TT_02

When it was all done, I adhered some Gold Jewels from Studio Katia to the middle of the flowers for an extra bling.

Spellbinders_TT_03

I placed the canvas in an Ikea Ribba frame (23cm*23cm), it fits perfectly.

Spellbinders_TT_04

Spellbinders_TT_05

Thank you for your visit, I hope you got inspired and will make your own home décor on canvas.

See you soon,

Bearing gifts ft. Studio Katia New Release

Hello Everyone,

Last Friday & Saturday Studio Katia had a mega Blog Hop as their 2nd anniversary celebration. It was a blast and I could not stop making more cards with the new release.. Today I brought you a birthday card made with the new Kobi set.

SKbloghop_11

I made a very vibrant birthday card. I used a dotted stencil to apply Abandoned Coral, Wild Honey and Mustard Seed distress inks on Bristol Smooth cardstock. After removing the stencil I went back gently with the same inks to cover the whole panel.

SKbloghop_12

I stamped and coloured the bear from Kobi Bearing Gifts using Copics. I used the coordinating die to cut him out and popped him on a Dotted Shaker tag using 3D foam tape. I white heat embossed the little sentiments on very thin black cardstock strips and adhered them to the tag. I used a piece of black gingham ribbon and white twine to complete the tag and mounted it on the background using 3D foam tape.

SKbloghop_13

The usual shimmer pen-glossy accent combo I used on the presents an added a few Gold Crystals to make it festive.

Studio Katia 2nd Anniversary Blog Hop

BLOG_HOP_2ND_ANIVERSARY

Hello Everyone,

I am so excited to be part of the Studio Katia 2nd Anniversary Blog Hop as a guest designer. I feel honoured to be part of such a gorgeous celebration.

You should have arrived from my talented friend, Laura Volpes’s blog and I am the last stop for today. If you get lost you can find the full hop list below or visit Studio Katia Blog!

CARD 1.

SKbloghop_01

For my first card I applied Distress Inks gently on Bristol Smooth cardstock, then through the Brush Stroke Waves stencil I reapplied the same inks once more. Before removing the stencil I sprayed Iridescent Shimmer Mist on it for a subtle sparkle. Until my background was drying I stamped and coloured the images from the Under the sea stamp set using Copic markers. I die cut them with the coordinating dies.

SKbloghop_03

I also inked up a stitched hillside border with distress inks, splattered some Gathered Twigs and Antique Linen inks on it to look like sand. Before assembling the card I white heat embossed the sentiment on the top. I decided to make this card really festive by adding the present and the little birthday hat from the Shell-ebration stamp and die set.

SKbloghop_04

As a finishing touch I emphasized the eyes of the fish with a black glaze pen and added a bit of glossy accents to some details. I also scattered a bunch of Clear confetti to look like bubbles.

SKbloghop_02

CARD 2.

SKbloghop_08

For my second card I die cut a Stitched Creative window in the middle of a white cardstock, and once more from light grey cardstock. I adhered a piece of an alcohol ink background to a white card base and popped up the window with the inlaid frame using 3D foam tape.

SKbloghop_10

I carefully white heat embossed the sentiment in the middle window and adhered the sea critters using 3D foam squares for ore dimension. A few Iridescent bubbles, glossy accent and white gel pen details finished this card off.

SKbloghop_09

CARD 3.

SKbloghop_05

After seeing the Seashell Shaker die I just had to make an underwater shaker card too. I die cut a white cardstock piece with the rectangle from the Dotted Patterns Set 1 with the Shell die in it. I added a piece of transparency to the back of it and made the tunnel for the shaker part with 3D foam tape. I used a small piece of the alcohol inked background adhered to a blue violet mat and added Crystal Clear, Silver Foil Confetti and a bit of the Shimmering Ice Fusion sequin mix.

SKbloghop_07

When my shaker piece was all sealed I decorated the front with the little turtle from the Shell-ebration set. The sentiment I white heat embossed on a black banner. A bit of glossy accent, some clear shimmer on the present and black glaze pen on the eyes made it finished.

Mermazing birthday

Hello Everyone,

It is my second post today, as I wanted to share with you a mermazing birthday card I created for the current MFT sketch #384 and Colour challenge #93.

I created an alcohol inked background with blue, purple and mint alcohol inks. I spritzed it with a bit of rubbing alcohol for more texture. I adhered it to white card base and added a stitched rectangle frame.

MFTmermazing_01

Then I stamped and coloured the mermaid from the Mermazing stamp set. I used Copics, and the coordinating dies to cut it out. Added some glossy accent and some Stickles for the extra shine on the tail.

MFTmermazing_03

The seaweeds were stamped with matching colourful inks. I used Press and Seal to help with the arrangement and glued them in place on my card. The mermaid was popped up with 3D foam squares.

MFTmermazing_02

I also white heat embossed a sentiment on a strip of blue violet cardstock from the More essentials sentiments set. To finish it off I added some iridescent bubbles from Studio Katia.

MFTmermazing_04

MFTmermazing_05

I will upload this card to the MFT Sketch Challenge and Colour Challenge.

Hope you like my card and will check back tomorrow for some out of this world fun!
