Autumn Greetings – Sunny Studio Stamps

Hello Everyone,

It is such a wonderfully sunny and chilly day here in Budapest, that I could not resist sharing some sunshine with you in a form of cards. I have a set of 2 cards which I have created with some stamps, dies and patterned paper from Sunny Studio Stamps.

First I stamped and coloured the images from the oh-so-cute Fall kiddos stamp set. I used Copic markers to add colour, but as I had these coloured a while ago, I do not have the exact colours I used. All I remember is that I used the Preppy Prints paper pad as inspiration for my colour choices. I cut all the kids out with their coordinating dies.

Then I cut a 2 inches wide strip of patterned paper from the above mentioned set and also one from metallic brown cardstock. I used the Window Trio Square dies to cut windows.

I used light blue cardstock as background for the rainbow piece, and white for the brown one. I popped up the frames with 3D foam squares. I added the rainbow inserts to the brown frame panel and made a brown mat for the other one.

I used kraft card bases this time, adhered the window panels and stamped the sentiments from the Fall kiddos stamp set using brown ink. I popped up the images with 3D foam squares and added my finishing touches: white gel pen highlights, black glaze pen on the eyes and glossy accents to emphasize some details.

I hope I cheered you up with these cuties and you will pop in again for more soon. I am planning a Coffee Card Series starting tomorrow, so make sure to subscribe if you do not want to miss it!

See you,

Zsofi

Newton’s Nook Designs August Release – Day 1

Hello Everyone,

I am super excited today as we are starting the absolutely “fall-tastic” and gorgeous August Release reveals at Newton’s Nook Designs. The first set we are showcasing is called Pumpkin Latte – yes, a coffee themed fall set! YAY! I just love the girl images and all the little extras to create little scenes. It also has coordinating dies.

For my card I stamped and coloured the images with Copic markers and cut them out with the coordinating dies. I am in love with those huge pumpkins!

I decided to use the Falling leaves stencil on my card base with white texture paste.

It gives a pretty tone-on-tone textured look and matches the theme perfectly.

When it was dry, I added some rainbow plaid patterned paper (Sunny Studio) to the bottom of the card and accented it with a thin strip of dark brown cardstock.

After adhering the images in place with liquid glue, I used one of the banners from the Frames and flags die set to cut a dark brown flag. I white heat embossed a sentiment on it and added it on the top left corner of the card.

As a finishing touch I added some glossy accents to the stems, coffee caps and the pockets of her jacket. I love how cheerful this card turned out with the bright fall colours and the textured background.

Newton’s Nook Designs May Release – Day 2

Hello Everyone,

It is Day 2 of the May Release reveals at Newton’s Nook Designs. After the movies we are into flowers. The new Dainty Daisies is a pretty floral stamp set with coordinating dies. All new products will be available on Friday 17/05!

Here is my card for today:

I started with stamping and colouring the daisies with Copic markers. I used only light greys for shading a little, but I kept the colouring simple.

I die cut it with the coordinating die and another piece from black cardstock. I layered them on top of each other slightly offset to get a shadow effect.

Then I used the Flags and Frames die set to cut the rounded stitched rectangle from heavy weight vellum and also a scalloped stitched die to cut from rainbow patterned paper as the background. I love the cheerful colours of this paper from Sunny Studio (Spring Sunburst collection).

After adhering all layers I die cut a black banner and white heat embossed the sentiment on it. I popped it up with 3D foam squares. I used liquid glue to adhere the vellum and hid the adhesive behind the flower so it does not show through.

I covered all the petals with Tonic Aqua clear shimmer and added glossy accents in the middle of each flower. I also added black dots around the flower with a black glaze pen. As a final embellishment I added some crystals from Lucy’s Little Things around the sentiment.
